Enjoyed the game last night. Great arena the Penguins have. They won 4-2 after making heavy weather of it.

I'm trying to work out how to post the pics I took with my phone on here.

With the fantastic hockey Canes are playing lately, it'll be a travesty if they dont make it. Skinner 31 goals this season, god damn!

Rangers beat the Devils in their final game and as of right now are in but Carolina plays later today at home against the Lightning. If the Hurricanes fail to win the Rangers are in the playoffs

Wow, the Rangers back into the playoffs as the Hurricanes lose their must win game at home to the Lightning 6:2. Incredible, both teams really deserved it but only one can go on. I don't think either really have a shot at the Capitals though

Eastern Conference Playoffs

[1] Washington Capitals vs. [8] New York Rangers
[2] Philadelphia Flyers vs. [7] Buffalo Sabres
[3] Boston Bruins vs. [6] Montreal Canadiens
[4] Pittsburgh Penguins vs. [5] Tampa Bay Lightning

some compelling matchups, especially the MTL-BOS playoff series as they are huge rivals and all the problems from the regular season. Flyers/Sabres could be good as the Sabres did well to close out the season. Remember in NHL players there is no "playoff tree", the top seed will always play the lower seed

The Western Conference picture will be known in a few hours, basically the teams are known but not the seeding

Bolts beat Hurricanes just a while back, and now again to deny them the playoffs. Even Stamkos managed to get a goal.

Indeed, and the Bruins dished out some serious punishment in one of the earlier match ups between these two. I'm going with the Bruins here.

Yes, and add that Flyers were rubbish at the end of the season.

Penguins v Bolts looks like a closest matchup in the east. Western conference matchups will be even better!

The defending Stanley Cup champions Chicago Blackhawks also back into the playoffs despite their loss to Detroit. The Dallas Stars failed to win in their final game so Chicago is the 8 seed

Here is the Western Conference playoff picture

[1] Vancouver Canucks vs. [8] Chicago Blackhawks
[2] San Jose Sharks vs. [7] Los Angeles Kings
[3] Detroit Red Wings vs. [6] Phoenix Coyotes
[4] Anaheim Ducks vs. [5] Nashville Predators

Will the Canucks continue this form into the playoffs? Many people think Nashville is a darkhorse

Epic choke by Dallas and Carolina. But Vancouver - Chicago promises to be awesome. Again. The sharks will probably have little trouble with the Kings whose attack is decimated by injuries. I am a Penguins fan my self but unless Crosby comes back soon I don't see us going further than the second round. We have really struggled winning games without shootouts after Sid and Geno got injured.

“But we're a university! We have to have a library!" said Ridcully. "It adds tone. What sort of people would we be if we didn't go into the library?"

"Students," said Senior Wrangler morosely.”

Canucks v Hawks - easily the best match-up of the first round.

Yup dunno when and if he will be back soon as he still didn't start with contact trainings ... d defo be hard, so i see Tampa and Coyots (and now Zetterberg's injury but might not be for long) biggest treath to the 'favourites' atm, we will see ...

Nashville, hmmm i think could take Ducks to 7th ... but that's it

Also, what's with Richards skipping training?

Anyhow it started Hope to see Pens tonite and not fall asleep for some more ...

I'll be watching the Penguins tonight. 8pm eastern time they start.

Capitals are my tip for the Stanley cup this year.

Lucky u, coz of the time difference i d defo have to skip later games as i cannot be a zombie i was during Olypics last year lol .. Pens r at 1 am here which is okay ...

Tbh some time ago i saw Flyers - Canucks final (and i still stick to it) but must admit that Caps do look potent to go high now, esp with Green back and Knuble's revival with Ovy and Backstrom in line.

Tnx for sharing pics Dupont, cool.

No problem! I'll post some more later.

I'm watching Pens first play off game in the USA tonight then flying back to the UK tomorrow so I'll have a 5 hour time difference to the games too

Both goalies have been top class tonight.

Pens in good shape. Missing Malkin and Crosby though.
