Wonder in kind of shape Andy Ruiz jr will be in when he faces Anthony Joshua next week. He has often looked flabby in the past. It will also be Callum Smith's chance to shine in the US against gatekeeper Hassan H'Jikam. Big money fight too for the Belgian policewoman Delfine Persoon against Katie Taylor

He looked flabby, but it didn't hinder him at all . What a win!

Embarrassing loss, but it was coming for AJ. He's looked terrible ever since he had to step up his competition. The only real difference here compared to his previous opponents is that Ruiz showed no intimidation unlike the others and actually fought back. AJ's lack of cardio was another telltale sign from his previous fights that he was going to get exposed sooner or later. The way he fights for a guy his size is ridiculous

Awful stuff.

He looked dead from the get go.

Zero enthusiasm.

Yeah it really showed his flaws. He's a decent HW but has been way overhyped, wrapped in well delivered PR machine and protected by Eddie Hearn with normally poor level opponents.

I heard that Hearn wants the rematch to be held later this year in the UK. Unless there is a contractual clause which Ruiz has signed that stipulates this, there is no way he should agree to a fight in the UK.

Yeah, a rematch won't see Anthony dispose of Ruiz like Lennox did with Hasim Rahman after his fluke punch win. Anthony will need to do more.

Good for the heavyweight division to have another name to add. Ruiz jr used to be this amusing looking low profile fighter who was Bob Arums's only heavyweight fighter. Not anymore. Al Haymon now all of a sudden has more cards to play with in the heavyweight division.

Ruiz is a fighter to the core, something AJ will never be.

Look at how each reacted to hitting the canvas - one got angry and let instinct kick in, the other was AJ.

He should take the rematch, but he’ll have to work for it.

Dominant win by Fury against Schwarz. To be expected, but impressive nonetheless.

Barring the obvious KO power of Wilder, Fury will likely dismantle him in a rematch. His skill and technique are a different class to all his HW rivals.

Usyk ? Size would be an issue, but I'm still looking forward to seeing what he'll be like in the heavyweight division. Carlos Takam was supposed to be his opponent last month, but Usyk had an injury.

Wonder who Fury will face next in September / October. Another easy, but slightly harder fight probably with the guaranteed ESPN money.

True, Usyk has great skill and boxing IQ but I don't think he would trouble Fury.

Usyk vs Joseph Parker looks a good fight on paper. Similar size and both box well.

RIP Pernell Whitaker

The Manny Pacquiao - Keith Thurman and Dillian Whyte - Oscar Rivas fights are coming up this weekend. Something finally to look forward to.

Next month sees Anthony Yarde - Sergey Kovalev in Russia. Yarde taking up the challenge to go to Kovalev's home town

Damn, Pac is incredible lol. He should end it on a high note as was the case tonight. Absolutely nothing to prove anymore. Also, how can you not like a guy like Thurman. He was so gracious and down to earth in defeat.

Agreed. Difficult to think of a higher note that he can end it on. Thurman is perhaps the best level of fighter than he is capable of beating, so either he fights someone better and high chance he loses, or it's an anti-climax win against a lesser-known fighter.

Unreal how quick he is even at 40. Enough power was there to keep Thurman honest.

Thurman always comes across well in interviews. Always refreshing to see in such sports which are usually fully of guys like Gervonta Davis and Broner who share a braincell between them.
