Israeli Teams playing in Bulgaria!

After being banned from playing on Israeli soil. Israeli teams are trying to find alternative venues to host there games. Cyprus was an option was the cost is not that inaqurating.

But offically.....Maccabi Tel Aviv have chosen to play in the Sofia's Levski Stadium, which the owner finds useful and cheap and they will play on August 22 which that will be there home leg

all welcome to come

This is a very good news for BG and I hope for Macabi too ... First Levski's stadium is an OK one and you might get a good response from the crowd ... A pice of an advice - make the official Macabi fan club to ask the official Levski fan club for help and support on the stadium. The guys there are passionate for football and love the real fan's attitude ... Red Star have played in Sofia years ago their CL game (I think it was Samp) and got an incredible support ... but Red Star Belgrade are quite popular here ...

Good luck and enjoy BG if you come around ... above all we have a pretty good historic relations with your country and your people ... but no politics on XT

Its offical....

not only 1, but all Israeli UEFA cup teams and Champions League team (maccabi Haifa) are scheduled to play in Beutiful Sofia, Bulgaria.

The teams are Hapoel Tel Aviv (UEFA CUP), Maccabi Tel Aviv (UEFA CUP), Maccabi Haifa (Champions leauge).

The stadium that they will play in is Giorgi Asparuchuv Stadium of Levski and all of them will use it.

The cost will be 0 for them since the owner of the club/stadium is Mr. Michael Chemony who will give a no rate fee, and the money that they will get....half of it will go to charitable needs inside Bulgaria and Israel

What is your personal opinion on Michael CHERNOY???

22 August?
I'll try to be there
I can assure you -my support is very useful
BTW, Bono -your idea about the fan clubs is brilliant-it only needs a leader.
Our league is a complete mess.....

xtc,
you are back....so suddenly
I won't be nude but I will do my best

As far as Bg League is concerned ,corruption is one of the problems, probably the organisations of the clubs is another one and the most important for me is the motivation of the players and the qualities of trainers and the players themselves .It all begins from the kids and the juniors.

The fans are sometimes a problem but every team has different supporters....with different attitudes....

Are the fans committed or just in for the violence and anarchy?

So Bulgraia and Sofia are lucky as of this moment for the Izreali teams ... Macabi - Sturm 2-0 with a priceless second goal in the overtime ... I hope the game has passed well and the Bg organizers were good hosts!

Good luck with the rest!

I read today that there is a scandla with Sturm fans shouting Nazi stuf ... is that true?! So sad and ridiculous ... so stupid, if true. Hope not!

Yes Bono!

it is true...

some fans overheard a couple of the only 50 Strum fans singing anti-israeli, Anti-jewish songs...which was terrible.....

I think they will make up excuses but this is disgusting...

Austira and Israel have already rocky relationships..

I wish we can be the relationship like in....Bulgaria
