Croatia-Bulgaria

Wendesday is the first game for the new coach Plamen Markov. Most of the guys are the same. Should be an interesting one and to tell you the truth I just hope it won't be very imbarassing at the end.

The squad:
Z. Zdravkov (Istanbulspor, Tukkey); G. Petkov (Levski)

P. Pazin (Guan); R, Kishishev (Charlton Atletics) G. Markov (Trabzonspor) I. Petlkov (Trabzonspor) R. Kirililov (Litex) E. Topuzakov (Levski) G. Ivanov (CSKA)

K. Balakov (Stugart) G. Peev (Dinamo Kiev) T. Ianchev (CSKA) Stilian Petrov (Celtic) M. Petkov (AEK)

D. Berbatov (Bayer Leverkusen) M. Petrov (Wolfsburg) Z.Iankovich (Litex) V. Manchev (CSKA)

I think they are two for the moment - pazin and Zoran Iankovich. The first one was one of the best deffenders in BG the last 2 years but is kind of weird to say the least, the second one is by far (seems to me) the best player in the Bg championships this year or at least the best "foregner" ... it is OK if you ask me ...

Didn't see the game as well so I have no comments on it either. But it must have been some type of heroic play, for this is fantastiv result judging this team's capabilities.

Huh, the game was televised on Ring+, but it was too late when I got this info

Hm, the TV reports say that we have played well and created a number of opportunities, but there was no finisher.

Petrov and Berbatov have been the duo up front and it has worked quite well. (can't we play with 3 attacker in future when Gonzo is back or we are gonna stick to the 2 forwarrds model?)

Kishishev is back from injurie and that makes our problems one less as he is one of the (few) very good right wing-backs.

Plamen MArkov said that the team will have problems in the last moment of the attack when someone has to score the goal as we miss the questionable finisher, but I hope that Gonzo could be a solution.

Bye Bye.

VENI. VIDI. VICI.

I was struck by the way the audience expressed its respect towards Krasi Balakov when he was substituted.
Martin Petrov -for me the best in the match!
