Bulgaria in WC 2018 Qualies - Please Shoot the Pianist

F*ckin' Petev can't play the piano . He doesn't even know how to read the note sheet .

Now, he calls some limping horses (© Ivan Slavkov) to carry us through what could turn out to be our crucial games of this qualification cycle. Would you stop calling bench players from Serie B and Legia Warsaw please .

Paris Saint-Denis on October 7, 20:45 CET
Referee: Luca Banti (ITA)

@Friends Arena on October 10, 20:45 CET
Referee: Michael Oliver (ENG)

Well done, Kitties!

It looks like we'll have a new manager just on the eve of the games with France and Sweden, with Petev's taking office as a head coach of DZ. This time for real.

I am expecting a big surprise, like Dimitar "Hero" Dimitrov taking charge of the national team. Which would be a not bad at all scenario. In any case, any change would be only for good. Petev is probably a good club coach, but he has been pretty clueless as our NT manager so far.

Hubchev is the new coach of our national team. He is ultra-defensive minded, usually plays 4-2-3-1. Was quite successful in his last club Beroe, winning the Bulgarian cup and the supercup in 2013. They were runners-up to Ludogorets in the 2014/15 league too.

He takes office with immediate effect, meaning he will manage the team in the qualifiers against France and Sweden.

Well, good luck, Hubsi! Definitely looks like a good choice at this moment.

I jinxed the poor Minev guy and he misses out through injury.

Also, lol at Hubchev's trolling the French by calling a dude named Kostadinov. Remember 1993 and Saint Emil Kostadinov?

btw, Hubchev and Deschamps played against each other in that November 17, 1993 match at Parc de Princes. Now, they will meet as managers. Revenge time for Deschamps? :jinxing:

A tad more offensive lineup today, with two strikers, Marcelinho and Rangelov. Bozhikov, Nedialkov and Slavchev are likely to replace J. Milanov, Pirgov (who made at least two gross mistakes vs. France) and Kostadinov in the starting 11.

Sweden are not as good as they used to be. On the other hand, we simply cant play against them historically. Lets hope for a draw, to keep some chances to fight for the playoff spot in our France-dominated group.

Well done, Kitties!

23 players list for the Belarus game @Vassil Levski Stadium on 13 November:

Goalkeepers: Vladislav Stoyanov ("Ludogorets") Nikolay Mihailov ("Mersin", Turkey), Georgi Kitanov (CSKA - Sofia).

Defenders: Strahil Popov ( "Kasimpasha", Turkey), Vasil Bozhikov ( "Kasimpasha", Turkey), Anton Nedialkov (CSKA- Sofia), Bozidar Chorbadzhiyski (CSKA - Sofia), Alexander Dr.Aleksandrov ("Levski"), Atanas Zehirov ("Beroe"), Daniel Zlatkov ("Botev" Plovdiv), Peter Zanev ( "Amkar", Russia)

Midfielders and forwards: Svetoslav Dyakov ("Ludogorets"), Ivaylo Chochev ( "Palermo", Italy), Simeon Slavchev ( "Lechia", Poland), Todor Nedelev ("Botev" Plovdiv), Bozidar Kraev ("Levski"), Georgi Milanov (CSKA Moscow, Russia), Alexander Tonev ("Crotone", Italy), Radoslav Kirilov (“Beroe”), Ivelin Popov ("Spartak" Moscow, Russia), Nikolay Dimitrov (“Slavia”), Preslav Yordanov (CSKA - Sofia), Spas Delev (" Pogon", Poland)

Quite a few new names in comparison to the call-ups of Petev. I like Delev, and the reports are he is doing well in Poland.

Well done, Kitties!

A hard fought but deserved win for our boys. GK Vlado Stoianov MOTM; Spas Delev also instrumental with full 90 min; assisted for the goal and greatly contributed overall. Hubsi brought the fighting spirit back into what looks like a team now. Dutchies next up on Mar 25, 2017 at Vasil Levski Stadium.

Well done, Kitties!

Vasil Levski Stadium, Sofia
Bulgaria - Holland

Our squad just announced:

Goalkeepers: Nikolay Mihaylov ("Mersin", Turkey), Vladislav Stoyanov ("Ludogorets"), Georgi Kitanov (CSKA-Sofia)

Defenders: Stefan Velkov ("Slavia"), Bozhidar Chorbadzhiyski (CSKA-Sofia), Anton Nedyalkov (CSKA-Sofia), Nikolay Bodurov (CSKA-Sofia), Strahil Popov ("Kasimpasa", Turkey), Georgi Terziev ("Hajduk" Split, Croatia), Vasil Bozhikov ("Kasimpasa", Turkey), Petar Zanev ("Amkar" Perm, Russia).

Midfielders and forwards: Svetoslav Dyakov ("Ludogorets"), Aleksandar Tsvetkov ("Cherno more"), Georgi Kostadinov ("Levski"), Bozhidar Kraev ("Levski"), Stanislav Manolev (CSKA-Sofia), Aleksandar Vasilev ("Ludogorets"), Kiril Despodov (CSKA-Sofia), Ivaylo Chochev ("Palermo", Italy), Simeon Slavchev ("Lechia” Gdansk, Poland), Georgi Milanov (CSKA Moscow, Russia), Nikolay Dimitrov ("Ural", Russia), Aleksandar Tonev ("Crotone", Italy), Spas Delev ("Pogon" Szczecin, Poland), Andrey Galabinov ("Novara", Italy), Ivelin Popov ("Spartak" Moscow, Russia)

CD Stefan Velkov once said to be the wonderkid of our football, targeted by Man United and others, is back on the squad after having recovered from serious injury. The captain of Ludogorets Svetoslav Dyakov suffered a muscle injury a few days ago, but it is obviously nothing serious as he is in the list.

One of the surprise calls is Despodov from CSKA-Sofia. He is the back-up of Galabinov, who has hit some form in Serie B lately and is the most obvious striker in the 4-2-3-1 scheme practiced by Hubchev. Delev will play again on the flank; the other starters are a bit of a mistery to me, but it is always like that with Hubsi.

Well done, Kitties!

Vlado Stoyanov and Georgi Milanov are also out, due to injuries. Which means, Nicky Mihaylov is the likely starting goalie

in other news, shall I stop posting here. I have been talking to myself for the last two years
