other would be able to tell you more, but from what i remember he is from Levski Sofia academy, was a great tallent, he signed for teh arch-rivals CSKA I think but didnt play a single game, they sold him to Inter Milano (or a partial deal) somehow though he never played there I think. He ended up in Maribor Slovenia where he is scoring regulraly.

wow, ok so far he seems to be an excelent player he played 5 matches and scored 3 goals and have 1 assist. one can see that he is a player that belongs to the big leagues like germany, england, spain.in an interview here with him he said that he played for the u- 21 national bulgaria team but is not invited to the national because you national coach doesn't like him. i have seen elin topuzakouv and telkisky and i can tell you that he is in an higher level and can play for your national easily.
by the way telkisky scored one amazin goal on the tel aviv derby:smileani:

woo, can you provide some video? It's nice to see bulgarian players doing well. And about Makriev, he's rather unlucky to play in the position where our best player and captain plays, he should be called up nontheless if he continues to play on a high level.

Thats nothing special as a goal! All he needed to do at that time is to place himself good, run a bit faster, have some understanding about the position of the nearby defender and the goalkeeper, decide when to hit the ball, put enough power into the shot and to also make sure it curves up towards the far side of the goal.

to be honest, after this, recalling Peev to the NT would be a further disgrace, since there's absolutely no excuse for him to play now.

her is a video of the game on saturday of ashdod (makriev scored the second goal) a beutifull goal from him. although you have berbatov as your main striker i still think that makriev should at least be on the bench.
he's sowing an high level and even tough the he is signed with ashdod for 4 more years (ashdod payed for him 1.5 mil $ to maribor) i won't be surprise if ashdod will sell him to a big european team!!!

dude, its asking for some plugins and I cant be arsed atm:/

Btw, those Levski guys that got sold in Israel(I dont include Makriev as he went there from Maribor) were thought of as "finished" and therefore underestimated but they are still decent enough for most leagues outside the big 5.

That was a pretty good goal; still 1.5 mil not many Bulgarian players get sold for so much; hope he continues with his good form and gets a look in for our NT-certanly looks alot better then some of the dross that gets picked.

ashdod paid 1.5 mil$ for the deal which includes 50% of his card for 1 mil
and the rest is his paycheck for the 4 years it's now been published in the media that ashdod want's to buy the other 50% of his card.
