because he spit on his own words and turned into one of the same whores he was condemning just several months ago. And one more thing - I never liked his game for the national team... I would much rather prefer Marian Hristov than him.

And what is with Martin missing? He cannot replace him on the left wing...

he was not, is not, and probably will never be a key player for the national team. His game in Celtic was miles ahead of what he is playing for Bulgaria. I have not seen him a lot for Aston Villa now...

I don't get Bulgarian fans, they are happy that Sten left the team and put our chances in jepordy and now they are unhappy that he comes back.

I don't see how not having one of our best players is a good thing, because it's pretty clear that Hristo will be NT Coach until this Qualification is over. It's best he has all the best players so even if he fails he would have no excuses.

Great news, our players are profecionals and I expect them to greet Sten with open arms. The fans on the other hand need to grow a new morality. I'm preety sure no Sweedish fans would boo Zlatan despite his antics, booing Hristo if we don't play the right way or get bad results is another matter

have you watched even one game of the National team with Stilian in it? that should answer your question. Simple as that! And about "one of our best" blah-blah... it's just bulshit! With his level of game for the national team, not only he is not one of the best but probably deserves to be seated on the bench...

LoL who would we use in the central midfield because from your way of viewing things it seems we have better options. Sten is pretty much our best Central Midfielder, it's another matter that we don't have a DM or at least one CM who is able to brake down attacks.

Marian Hristov I said and will repeat. Whoever you put there! He will be better than what Stilian usually plays for the NT.
I do not comment on his qualities. They are undisputed, I comment on what he delivers for the NT. I can easily say he is one of the weakest regular starters for the team.

Marian is way too old and slow to be a replacement for Stan. True Stilian doesn’t play that gear for the NT but it is also true he is by far the clearest choice for midfield and hardly anyone can come close to his qualities and contribution. Mind you, he has a bad season with Vila too, but he is still played most of the time in the starting 11. His qualities and his experience make him a special player. That he is back is only good for the NT, there is no question.

I read an interview with him and abt their meeting with Hristo in Vienna and I like Stilian even more now. To be able to talk to Stoickov for 5 hours and keep your dignity and still do the best for the team is quite sth. He is a smart guy and he is an honest guy. and he is one of our best players.

i agree marian is too old and i dont understand all the s. petrov hate some ppl just dont appreciate what he has done for the country and YES he has done good things.
he was one of the key players in the euro 2004 quals and i really think he is a very important midfield player.

lol, now don't give me that sh*t - me being hater or something... Stilian is one of my favourite Bulgarian players at the moment, but this does not change the fact that he simply does not deliver his best for the NT.

What strikes me about Marian is that after every single injury he picks up, he still recovers and when he comes back he is even stronger than he was before. About the "old"... tell that to Daniel Borimirov or Balakov or... bono - tell it even to your Vidolov... tell them they are /were not for Balakov/ good enough just because of the number against the statistical attribute "age"

Vidolov is good enough (indeed great) for Botev Plovdiv.
Borimirov is also very godo addition to a team like Levski
Marian is too old to be serious starting 1 choice over Stilian in teh NT.

Even if Stilain doesnt deliver his best for the NT every game ( and you can ask why) he is still, not at his best, by far more useful than any other you can think of. We aint Italy or Germany to be abel to ditch a guy like him. Even England cant aford it and will play an off form Gerrard or Lampard.

stop with this too old! since when is 33 too old? Are Thuram or Makelele "too old" for the French team? Is Canavarro "too old" for Italy? Are Lheman and Kahn "too old" for Germany? Was Balakov "too old" during the 3-4 years he played for the NT after he turned 33?

There are good players and bad players, not "too old" and "not old enough". So far for the NT Marian has been the better player by a mile.
