Genkov Offical Thread

The kid is gone, no doubt he will be signed if not this transfer window then in the summer by a club from Western Europe. I decided to beat the hype by creating a thread right now.

Livorno were ready to pay 2 mln for him, but he was late for signing the contract in Milano. Serbian authorities denied aerial space for his private flight to Italy several times, so he flew through Greece, but he arrived at the hotel around 19:15 local time and the mercato was already closed
We should see what happens in the summer.

i dont think he will be given much chance tho..
i would rather he goes to a smaller italian or spanish team like chievo, reggina, livorno, ascoli etc.
and then builds a name for himself.

i still think he should try and going to communist livorno again :rollani:

i mean in italy he would be able to play with a lot more big teams
i mean in germany the only real big team is bayern and maybe werder but in italy he can play against inter, juventus, milan, roma, fiorentina, lazio etc and if he has 1 good game against that team (scores 1 good goal or 2 goals or something) he will get recognized all over italy maybe even europe and that will jump start his career.
but livorno have a stupid president.

yeah, you're right. Well, livorno said they were gonna keep track on him and try to get him in the summer, so if he keeps doing well he should be there next transfer window

I'm pretty sure Deportivo don't have the money to buy Genkov because it's unlikely we would spend 3-5 million euro on an unproven Eastern European but if Depor do buy him he would get alot of chances in the first team-because we lack good offensive players who can score on a regular basis.

In Valencia he would go into the B team and will likely apear as a sub in already decided fixtures in La Liga. It would be good for him to train next to Moro and Villa but he would really have to make the most out of his chances in this team if he wants to brake into the first team. No offense to Genkov but he would be out of his depth especially in the begining.

Livorno still seem the most relistic destination for him.

Anyhow if he has good matches against Litex, CSKA and Levski he will do wonders in terms of interest from Western clubs. So my wish is that Loko do their best against those teams and show that our leage is alot more interesting then it seems most of the time.

is he really that good? or its a combination of "sort of good" and "EU passport" now? I cant whatch BG games so I cant tell really.

Arseal will be an interesting option if true. He wont have lots of pressure there as obviously winning is not on their minds these years but buiding a young team for the future. He will have to fight for spot with many of his age, so might be good. Livorno still looks the most likely and I think its the best option for him.

For me he is currently the second best striker in A Groupa with Valeri comming first(if we don't count Yovov as a striker). He is allright, after all Berbo didnt set the Bulgarian League a light before going to Germany.

For me, he has the qualities needed to become sucessful for a mid level club in one of the best leagues, as long as he adapts and devlopes in his new club I think he has the potential to become a very good striker.

Currently thought he is "sort of good"(Mind you if he didnt score in the UEFA Cup and had good games there would be nobody interested in him), "EU passport", "tallanted and young".

I still rate Valeri higher thought(but he has a better team behind him so can't really say for sure).

Livorno were ready to pay 2 million before Depor and Valencia both stated that they were interested

OMG i never get this??
valencia??
wtf is will he do there common we all know he will be like their 5th 6th striker a move like that from a bulgarian team DIRECTLY to a big team will NEVER happen not in this decade at least...
sure makriev went to inter but he didnt even play a single game.
every time i hear a bulgarian league player associated with a big team i really hope that the move does not materialize.
i remember when SOME botev player (forgot his name) was associated with REAL MADRID!!!!
i was like
seriously i think that players like this should go to mid table or even lower table teams in italy or spain or some english teams and then work from there.

indeed livorno sound sperfect -both Serie A and not too big to kill him. So if he is indeed talented and hard working and if he doesnt have Gonzo's (or Gibi's ) horrid work ethics, he should make it.
