I can't remember the last time one of our youth teams performed well.:undecide:

I hope this bunch of kids does honor to our football in this group, which looks very tough indeed.

Perhaps ,I do not know ,Russia won the U17 but we can't really compare ourselves to them. Anyhow this group doesnt seem that hard but as I dont know many of this players I think we will find a way to make it hard for ourselves. But it would be a good expirance for the kids as long as we don't get hammered.

I think there is something very wrong with the attitude of those teams as a whole. I have heard it numerous times that the main job of those teams is to provide good players for the A team. But I do not see how this goal contradicts with, for example, the goal to qualify for some big championship. I do not see what better preparation for the big football at the "A" team than to compete with THE BEST in their age. This is very strange for me. What the situation is with those guys is - merely hope for the best, no pushing, no long or short term aims. Practically the Bootball union wants nothing from them. Nothing! All they are required to do is play out those games. No goals, no progress.

Bulgarian youngsters just do not feel any pride playing for our country they just see these games as some sort of stepping stone for the NT, any one who stands out all the sudden feels too good to be playing for the underaged team and what we are left with is terrible.
Domovchiski is u19 so is Genkov yet I do not see their names in that list ,until someone starts taking the youth team seriously we won't get to anywhere.

I would not underestimate the hosts either... The organization probably cost them a fair amount of money and they would want to prove themselves. I am prone to underestimating Scotland's youth, but I think we should all know better than that since last week.
