Murder in a restaraunt

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically it says that Lokomotiv Plovdiv's (Last years champs??) owner was gunned down in a restaraunt. Apparantly, it was over some debts s it says. In any case our condolences. It seems Bulgarian Football ain't going through the best of times given that a similar incident has happened earlier in the week.

Hello I'm new here

In fact all chairmen of the Bulgarian teams are close to the mafia. Тheir business includes dark deals, frauds, swindles etc. Last year the chairman of Cherno More (Varna) and one of richest people in East Europe Iliya Pavlov (he was also a former president of CSKA) was killed. Now Iliev. Who is next? Another narco war? Damn, it sounds like a story by Martin Scorsese
Whatever I know that he wasn't the best person, my condolences to his family.

The motives behind this assasination are still unclear but its truly a shame cauz the guy did a lot for Lokomotiv. I hope it doesnt harm the team's performance during such an important period when playing for UEFA.

Lokomotiv Plovdiv's supporters are known as one of the best ones in Bulgaria. They deserve a good team, and they deserve another european adventures. Lets hope they will find their saviour, because without strong Botev and Lokomotiv and big Plovdiv derby the Bulgarian league wouldn't be the same.

Pavlov was killed in 2003 as far as I can remember. And if Cherno More can overcome such tragedy than why Loko won't? A club with good potential will always find a solid sponsor. Good luck to Lokomotiv in his clashes with Bolton.

Cherno more took 2 years to over come it. Lets not forget teh current Loko squad is not exactly home grown or even home made stuff lets not forget G Iliev and all his guys came from Kustendil (born there) and not all around him were happy when Iliev moved teh team from Kustndil to plovdiv (caus it WAS teh SAME team ).

So, I dont think it is so obvious ... Loko future, I mean. But good luck to them. Though Bolton will kill them. I predict 1-8 AGG score

when it comes to Iliev- I don't care, very rarely in such cases it's undeserved, I can't even feel sorry for his family.
as far as it concerns Bulgarian football-the problem is that most of the money going to sports in this country comes form illegal sources, I am not exactly sure that this is a good thing. The club will survive somehow, the sooner Bulgarian football gets rid of people like Iliev the better.
