Salaries

Levski decided to reduce the salaries of its players and most of them agreed to the new financial conditions in their contracts but not all-Iliyan Stoyanov had protested and even wanted to chnage his present club because of the new salary. Finding a new team as you may expect can't happen overnight and the conflict between Levski and him continues. This is ridiculous but Levski and the other Bulgarian club are guilty for the present situation-they taught the players have so high expectations and now they suffer the consequences

The sooner Stoyanov realizes that he must accept reality the better

Can someone expect to receive 'european' salaries when the social atmosphere in the country is far from being 'european' and the level of performance as well?

Haven't seen any interviews of his lately, but it's rumored he is about to try canceling his contract (club's fault) due to the treatment he gets from the bosses.

And about the salaries players used to recieve till now, well there were expectations that have proven to be beyond the capabilities of BG stars. Funny enough some still insist to get paid the same amount cash having done nothing (and to mention Stoyanov and his silly mistake that threw Levski out of the UEFA Cup).

However, there is still a possitive outcome as the youth players kinda get more attention and especially in Levski for the first time in years so many youngsters are closer to make it to the pro football wearing the jersey of their favorite team.

He will have to put up with the current situation eventually...Giani is right, younger players are more ambitious and don't have that great salary expectations, guys like Stoyanov should take this into consideration...
