Croatia-Bulgaria 2-2

This draw made me even happier than a win would have.We proved that our team from the previous months has changed its thinking.We showed character on which I congratulate Stoichkov. I can't express my true satisfaction of what I saw. The game started too bad for us but I still can't believe that we didn't give up till the end.
Excellent job! :thmbup:

Stoichkov made great substitutions, especially Manchev, he made incredible game! Berbatov is still the best player in our squad, and don't accuse Ivankov for the results, everyone can make a mistake!

- What position are you playing?
- Substitution.

Great game by Bulgaria, it could have been 5-2. We took the lead too early, and the old Croatian mentality set in thinking we won the thing in the 35th minute. Bulgaria played apsolutely fantastic football, a new Euro superpower was born on that Maksimir pitch. Control, technique, tactics and execution was almost flawless.

Leading 2-0 in the 78th minute I would have bet my house on 3 points staying in Zagreb, but some bad decisions when faced with relentless Bulgarian pressure when our players clearly hit bottom physically, we were simply blasted off the pitch.

Had we had a healthy Tudor though, it would have stayed 2-0 because the Bulgarian crosses would be easier dealt with...

This way we stay on top with a worthy seven points of three games, Bulgaria joins us as group favourites.

I believe we will both go to Germany, and anything can happen in Sofia. So its all open again...

let the games begin !

Bulgaria-Malta 4-1

Another excellent game for us. I wonder how Mifsad succeded in scoring at all, as a matter of fact no one could save this, no chance for Ivankov. It was a bit unfortunate and unexpected having into consideration that the game was totally under our control.
7 points and going up.

Thanks to Naum and especially Ero. Nice post, bro.

This 2-2 had Stoickov written all over him. This game was all about Hristo and his spirit - to win and never let down and let go.

I am possitive abt BG, very possitive. Too bad we are in one group v. Swe. They have our number and it will be huge if we get a point, epscialy that both Stilian and Martin will be out with this stupid yellows v. Malta.
