How stiff would Darcy feel though? Cripes!

Black was a deserved winner but damn ... the umpires were blind. Adam Simpson in the All-Aus team and second in the league in possessions but only polls 7 votes?

"They picked on the wrong man - and the wrong country. It was like pouring petrol onto a fire as far as I was concerned.

There's an old saying that the dog that barks loudest never bites. They did a lot of barking but we bit them pretty hard. Uruguay's attitude just showed how scared they were of us - it was their last resort."

congrats to the rolls royce of the brisbane machine, his form over the past 2 seasons has been sensational

darcy ehehehe

the umpire vote adds to the beauty and uniqueness of the brownlow but sh!t they come up with some clangers............

to this day I still cant get over greg williams' 45 possesions at optus oval and he didnt poll a vote....... almsot similar to darcys 5 goal performance against freo.........

players like simpson rarely get a vote....

headland = WOW factor, this guy will win a brownlow with the gr8test number of votes one day

Wot did u guys think of the coverage? I thought quarters got nervous at times, and the crosses to the darcy clan was cringe material

And yet another Brownlow medal for the Lions, which leads me to ask...

Has there ever been a team that has had 3 Brownlow medalists playing at once?

Yeah that one was ridiculous! Andrew McLeod got 1 vote in 1997 even though he went on to win the Norm Smith and win the Club Champion Award ... that pretty much sums it up.

See him in about Round 17? He didn't crack a smile at the best of times when the camera was on him but he began to sh1t himself once he started polling late on

That Darcy clan thing was woeful I agree - I think Quarters did get nervous but I think at times the autocue went south, like when he introduced Barassi.

The highlight of the night was Shane Crawford's comment about Gerard Waitley's breath - classic

"They picked on the wrong man - and the wrong country. It was like pouring petrol onto a fire as far as I was concerned.

You read my mind Couts m'boy! ...

Black started in the 80s this season and was an All-Australian the season before so I'm thinking AT LEAST $50s ...
