Which club will Wayne Carey choose?

It's one of the most asked questions going around in the Football world right now,Which club will Wayne "The King" Carey choose to play for next year. It's these five Adelaide,Hawthorn,Sydney,Collingwood and Essendon who seem to be the ones connected to Carey's name.
Where will arguably one of the greatest players ever end up,I cant seem to decide yet Adelaide seems up there as does Collingwood.

I'd let him have my grandma if it meant 70 goals at CHF for the Crowys next season ...

Crude I know but someone had to say it ...

lol!

still reckon my conspiracy theory at the start of the year will hold sway, the AFL will be going hammer and tongs to give sydney their next ready-made icon.

only problem is sydney, who will adopt a youth policy are not offering nearlty enuff to Nth........... adelaide and the hawks are offering heaps, can I smell a few back-room shenanigans going on, with the AFL ready to pull a few strings on Nth's 4 million buck deficit? so bloody predictable that mob

Its not up to the King where he plays next. Carey can choose any club he wants... it doesnt really mean he will be playing for them next season.

Suppose he chooses Collingwood, but St.Kilda offer a better deal to Nth for his services. Result... Carey becomes a Saint, whether he likes it or not.

Thats AFL for you.....

In all fairness though, Aylett and North should consider themselves lucky to get anything!

He is never going to play for North again regardless of what happens and the Kangas have dropped his massive paypacket at the same time.

For Aylett to come out and say Carey is worth a club's first two draft-picks is ridiculous.

after giving it more thought I dont think carey is worth some of the sh!t being bandied around, I wouldnt even consider giving ANY draft picks up for him period! Id say "off limits to my top half dozen players" and take any 2 of the remaining 34 but no draft picks

All agreed !!!
For a player who 3 months ago said he only wants to play for the love of the game and money is not the issue - seems to be woed by the money that has been thrown at him
The big question now is - Who Will negotiate for Wayne Carey now that he has sacked Ricky Nixon ???'

I've already been down the shops and picked up some vaseline and frangers for Granny...

God I hope she's updated her will!

Erm dragan, watch the news more mate - the fact he's going to Adelaide was confirmed on all the news services before you posted

First, i would like to say that those Grandma jokes are really feral, especially the mentioning of lubs, frangers and the removing of false teeth. i still laughed though

Carey has chosen the Crows. But if the Kangers and the Crows cant come up with a good deal, the Crows dont get him, right???

The Crows draft picks arent going to be very good so the kangers dont get anything off them.

i thought that collingwood would have had a better chance as they could offer Tarrant or Rocca in the deal.

Carlton, first two draft picks....

anywayz, i'm glad he has chosen the Crows, i happen to like them, although its weird coz i'm a blues supporter from melbourne.

The thing is though, the Crows and Carey will make it plainly obvious that he is not worth the ridiculous first and second round draft picks that Aylett mentioned - as I said in an earlier post, he is 32, will never play for the Kangas again regardless and the Roos have also dropped his massive paypacket.

Re: Collingwood - there's no way the Pies would trade Rocca and/or Tarrant for Carey.

I can just see North sauntering into Football Park and pointing at Kane Johnson, Mark Stevens and Kris Massie ... if they do that the King can play at Optus
