Who will take the Coleman Medal?

The battle for the 2002 Coleman Medal is going to be a tough one. No-one has looked like securing it yet, and the total goals have been far below average. We've seen champion Bomber forward Matthew Llyod take the early lead only to be stricken by a serious injury. He is back, but while he was out players like Kent Kingsley and Barry Hall have had the chance to shine. Demon skipper David Neitz has appeared out of nowhere to now take the lead, kicking 16 goals in the last two matches.

1. 47- David Neitz
2. 43- Barry Hall
2. 43- Kent Kingsley
4. 41- Alastair Lynch
------------------------------------
20. 26- Matthew Llyod

Neitz has a 4 goal lead over Hall and Kingsley, while Lynch is just 6 off the lead. Llyod is in equal 20th and is 21 goals off the lead. With 7 matches to go, does he have enough time to catch up?

Who does everyone think will win this season?

I put $10 on Lloydy at sixes back in Round 10 ...

It looked like good money with Lloydy kicking 5 on his comeback but since Neiter has fired up it looks too far away.

"They picked on the wrong man - and the wrong country. It was like pouring petrol onto a fire as far as I was concerned.

There's an old saying that the dog that barks loudest never bites. They did a lot of barking but we bit them pretty hard. Uruguay's attitude just showed how scared they were of us - it was their last resort."

my moneys on Lynch, and Hall going at it, although good on neita if he wins it

Yes, there's one less competitor. Big Bad Bussling Barry is out for 5, he only has 2 matches left in the home & away season. There goes his chances...

I reckon you've lost your money there. Lynch is 5 goals behind Neitz and has only to more matches to score goals, whereas Neitz has 4 matches left.

Yep ... Neitz has locked it away after his performance against the Bullies - first Demon Coleman Medallist since a bloke called Noah got into sailing ...

Yer he's got it now, but I don't think he will get the ton.

Hor him to get to 100, he needs to average 5 goals a game and we need to play in the Grand Final.

Good Luck...
