OT: The cricket

Ok, ok this is in the wrong place. But you cannot even get a breath inside the cricket forum, because none of them even watch Aussie cricket, and we have a nice atmosphere in here.

So, anyone gonna go to the cricket today.

Ryan Campbell played well in his debut replacing Gilchrist. He scored 38 and made a stumping and took 2 catches.

Australia is having a really rough period.

How could NZ beat us twice? Australia's batting really sucks. Mark Waugh is useless this series.

this is sh!t
Australia: One-day Cricket Champoins
looses 3 games in a row, 3,
even the Australia A did better than them, disgrace
if they don't beat the South Africans on Sunday,
the whole should get the sack
especially the batters, useless so far

I think it just might be a hangover from the thumping of South Africa in the Test series.

I reckon Australia ought to try Simon Katich, he's probably the next Steve Waugh.

Good Idea Christian. That cricket forum is bloody insane. Almost as hard to keep up with as the GC Threads

Anyway, look at this prediction i made before the series started (7/1/2002), here is the link if you don't believe me http://www.xtratime.com/forums/showt...5&pagenumber=1

Not looking like such a bad prediction after all eh . If NZ win Today and South Africa win tomorrow, then Australia are just about out i think (they'd probably have to win all their remaining games and get bonus points in each of them to qualify)

p.s does anyone know if the net run rate (n/rr) is still used to seperate teams if two sides finish level on points???

Haha, you made that.

I think Australia will win 4 out of the 5 !

Bevan needs to come in later, and Waugh needs to be out, he has been shocking this summer, but he's the captain, i guess

Hayden
Gilchrist
Ponting
Waugh
Bevan
Martyn
Symonds
Lee
Warne
Gilchrist
Mc Grath

12th Harvey

I like the look of that side, apart from the fact that you must like Gilchrist a lot, since you mentioned him TWICE :dielaugh: , but i am assuming you meant Gillespie

Very happy with the ommisions . Mark Waugh seems to have lost it not only with the bat, but more disturbingly in the field, and i think its time he should consider retirement. And Harvey hasn't done enough with Bat and ball

So here is my lineup (in batting order)

Hayden
Gilchrist
Ponting
Waugh
Martyn
Bevan
Symonds
Warne
Lee
Gillespie
Mc Grath (although i'd love to see him bat higher )

Martyn seems to be struggling at 6, so i dropped Bevan (a good player of spin) to 6. Steve Waugh also struggles early against Spin so i moved him up to 4
