as for the faith, i'll prob make a fool of myself by stating this but I metioned last weeks game was the type that comes round once every several years, well we won it, and I expect us to rise to a new playing level as a direct result from that one match........we shall see soon enough

RICHMOND v Collingwood

HAWTHORN v Fremantle
SYDNEY v Kangaroos
Port Adelaide v ADELAIDE
BRISBANE v Footscray
ESSENDON v Carlton
WEST COAST v St.Kilda

Couto... why would ANY player consider joining Freo right now? Gasper is a Tiger as much as Crawford is a Hawk... why would any player leave a club with full potential to join a club going no-where???
Its all hype to pump Gaspers price up, and Richmond will pay that price coz Gasper is worth it....

Anyways, good to see Hawthorn having the 'Bye' this week, it should ease Shwabby back into the coaching box

Fremantle has the nucleus of a very good side , but they are only young kids. They have no real boss their at the moment , all they need is a good CEO to claen up the office & a new experienced coach to beat the sh!t out of the players( especailly poodlehead then delist him ).

Gapar is a tiger, thats right , but Fremantle is where he was born, went to school ,lived.............

Another thing is how did Hawthorn botch up a bye

Bradley given 350th game to remember by Carlton
By Aap

Sunday, August 05, 2001

CARLTON today gave skipper Craig Bradley a 350th game to remember by coming from behind to defeat reigning AFL premiers Essendon at the MCG.

The Blues won 16.6 (102) to 14.11 (95) as Essendon lost successive games for the first time since 1999.

Matthew Lappin was the hero for Carlton kicking five goals including the last two of the match.

He received tremendous support from Anthony Franchina, who kicked three goals, and Scott Camporeale with two while Brett Ratten was tireless in midfield.

Essendon's miserable day was completed when skipper James Hird left the field with an ankle injury in the last quarter while champion spearhead Matthew Lloyd was reported for striking Simon Fletcher.

Lloyd finished the game with four goals to take his season tally to 83.

The win consolidates Carlton's place in the top eight while Essendon is only a game clear of Brisbane at the top of the ladder.
