Moorecroft-Mark of the Century?

We all saw Moorecroft's beauty against the Bulldogs a couple of weeks ago and from some it earned the title of "Mark of the Century" and it certainly goes very close to that, but does anyone remember Sean Smith's mark for Melbourne against Brisbane up at the Gabba a couple of seasons ago?Bruce Macca in that game said that was mark of the century.Do u guys remember this mark?I do,I'm not sure if it is mark of the century but it is ceratinly up there. What do u think was the better mark? And don't mention Silvagni's mark.

Was King Italy..

Yeah I'd just give sean smith the points, but the best mark I have ever seen was Michael Mitchell when he played for Claremont, he ran and stood on a Subiacos players shoulder and took the greatest over head mark I had ever seen. So I do not know if that will be recognised cause it was at WAFL level. Yep tiger this is the same person who scored many great goals & some of the best marks you have seen in a Richmond jumper

Yeh who can forget Mitchell winning mark of the year and goal of the year in the same season, him, roachy and Richo are the 3 best markologists Ive seen wear a tiger jumper......Ive heard abt mitchells mark at claremont Mal Brown mentioned it on radio a few years ago I think at the time of smithys mark....

but I say Smiths mark, thats the best I ever saw by quite a way, then I say (in no order)Moorcroft + Mitchell(the one in a tiger jumper, didnt see his wafl one) Ablett over pert in the goalsquare, ablett 5th in line in a pack against essendon(he kicked 14.7 that day and Salmon kicked 10!!) that was also one of the great matches Ive seen, Roach in 1980 where hes in the air and KBartlett is captured on photo with his hands out waiting for the handball receive before roachys even taken it LOLOL HUNGRY!!! , Silvagni when he landed on his neck, and brett Allison same deal

If it an open field. I'd pick Michael Mitchell hands down, I do not really think anyone who has not seen that mark really knows how good it was. Sean Smiths was a great mark & if that was used as a ten barometre ,MM's was a 11/10

Mark of the Century goes to Sean Smith... only reason being his was the best mark from last Century

Moorcroft is going to have to wait till the begining of the next Century to see whether wins its.... still another 99 seasons to go, its going to be a looooooong wait for him

and speaking of great marks... what about Capper!! He took some pearlers in his time. It must have been those shorts.......
