The best key forward

Ok guys this can make for some interesting discussion, who is the best key forward in the league.....gone are the days it was Lockett, Dunstall and Ablett with a young Carey up and coming, these days theres a bigger spread but not the champions those three were.

Im probably being biased but I pick Richo........his horror run with injuries have set him back but the year before last he was the most electric player in the league, wed clear out everyone from the 50 laeving him one out and the poor defender would have nightmares, I remember distinctly Sammy Newman was laughing at McGrath's face after richo kicked his 6th against geelong one nite (he went thru a purple patch averaging 6.5 goals for 6 weeks straight no mean feat considering we lost half those games) Right now its Lloyd no contest but Id still pick Richos freakish ability and speed over Lloyds diving shenanigans..........

Carey is not the player he was otherwise hed win unanimously, hird and whitnall have the smartest footy brains...

Id say

Carey, Hird, Ottens and Whitnall cannot score as much goals as they can. They are Centre Half fowards and don't have freedom to score as they can which Richo and Llyod can.

Full fowards:

5.Moorcroft (Underrated)

Centre-half fowards:

My vote goes to Matthew Lloyd. His 100 goals last year was an excellent effort and I think he should do it again this year

Was King Italy..

I had to go with Lloyd. I know he's in a great team.... but to kick 100 goals in the age of flooding and little room is a huge effort. I doubted him for a long time, but he proved everything to me in that game against North. He played a champions game, he is a superstar.

Apologies to Richo, The King, Hird, Tarrant and Johnny Barker!

I went for Carey.

Richo is great, but he could be better if his team actually looked for him more often than what they do.

Hird is fantastic too, but he can also play further up the field when required, which is why i didnt vote for him. He seems to be the ultimate attacking player, but not the best forward player (make sense??)

Lloyd is a pretty boy, give him a little shove and he'll go flying like a steam train hit him and get the free kick... until he actually EARNS his goals he wont have any respect from me!!

Tarrent is still young and learning the trade, Farmer is just a goal sneak, Jarman is close to retirement, Burns only has one foot, McKernan is a hack, Hall is a thug.....

Carey is the best forward player. OK, he is getting on, but my word when he is on song, no band can shut him down.
