NRL 2014

well, last season proved there is no God :irritate:

so, with the 2014 NRL season almost upon us, and redemption hopefully in the offing, lets have some predictions from XT's finest

Top 8

GF Winner

Minor Premier

Wooden Spoon

Most Improved

Biggest Slide/Most Disappointing

Origin Winner

Dally M

First Coach Sacked

Capello beamed: "From Savicevic you came to expect these unthinkable plays of brilliance, because from the position he was in most players would have just taken the ball in stride and gone a little further with it, instead he went for this spectacular attempt which has gone down in history and is shown over and over again. It was simply.... Una cosa da Savicevic [the way of Savicevic]."

since his Roosters ruled last year, i think it only right that Zico start us off

the Cowboys have to come good one year, surely...

Deadly at home but the question of them winning big games in Sydney still remains.

Cowboys have been unlucky though in the last couple years when playing finals in Sydney (ie. the Foran knock on which led to a try and then the 7th tackle try by the Sharks)

L. Coote has done his ACL in Auckland 9s... out for the season... the Cowboys chances just took a hit

and after i picked them to win it all... my sincerest apologies to those in Nth QLD

i haven't minded the 9s (except for the performances of the Dogs and i do mean Tony "Big-for-Nothing" Williams)... a different concept and better than just the typical pre season trials

must be said, it was good to see Fittler in full flight one more time... one of the great modern day five eighths

I've never been big on scapegoating in team sports but the softness of a guy that size is amazing.

it is not all his fault... more should be done to make plays where he runs onto the ball with pace instead of just getting the ball standing still and then looking to push off defenders with his upper body strength

but still... it is astounding just how ineffective he is... he best watch himself, a lot of forward depth at the Dogs and he may not see out his contract with us unless he starts to f*%#ing earn his money

Didn't think the Bunnies had it in them especially when I'd seen the strapping around Reynolds knee, Walker at 6. Big win imo and a strong early statement. (then again they beat the Roosters last year in round 1 and the season is long)
