Brett Ratten Retires!

The shoulder's no good and he's given it away.

Goodnight Carlton!

"They picked on the wrong man - and the wrong country. It was like pouring petrol onto a fire as far as I was concerned.

There's an old saying that the dog that barks loudest never bites. They did a lot of barking but we bit them pretty hard. Uruguay's attitude just showed how scared they were of us - it was their last resort."

a champion player for us who has been around the club for 19 years. he joined us when he was 14 y.o.

3 time best and fairest, 2 time runner up, a couple of thirds and one 4th i think.......... premiership player......the man is a great player.

its sad to him leave, but injuries got him in the end. at 33 y.o., its hard to come back to full fitness.

i believe that if players such as ratten are going to retire, its best they do it now while carlton are trying to find the right formula of players etc....

definately be sad not seeing him play again and we are definately losing experienced player by the dozen.

the past 5 years, carlton has lossed so many great players for them. sos, sexton, dean, rice, christou, hanna, diesal, bradley, kernahan, brown.........and i think there is probably more.

not easy losing so many in the period of 5 years, but i believe we have some good youth and will be okay in a few years time.

what will hurt us is that we will become decent again and then we'll lose Kouta, Campo etc...as they will Rattens age.

Koutoufides the overrated One season wonder,To me Mr overpaid can leave anytime he was never a champion in my bboks and as long as he's at carlton as far as I'm concerned will always be a waste of money.

dont be ridiculous Prancing Horse.

Koutafides is our hardball getter!!

he is playing better than a lot of others.

i dont think he should be criticised like that.

he has been great for us in recent times.

I read your other posts tonight and you seriously have something up your arse.

Cousins is overated,Ball scab, kicks the ball about 50m high and 20 long.

Kouta had a magnificent season a years ago and has been playing OK ever since inbetween injuries.

Yes i believe Pavlich is overated.Cant explain why,i watch him every week and he's just overated IMO.

I dont care if Black is having the Blues. He's overated. He's a WA boy like Cousins and Woewodin and they are all good footballers but i dont regard them as high as the media and some other people.

Now sit down,Shut Up and stop shitting on everones point of view.

i wouldnt shit on your point of view if you had some facts behind your statements.

saying that Kouta had a good season a few years ago for exmaple. so basically, you are syaing that kouta has only had one good season?

make comments, view as many opinions as you like............but back them up a little.

dont just say that Pavlich is overated and say that you cant explain why.

And Woewoden and Black are even rated these days with the big boys anyway. obvisouly two players who are not worthy overall for such an accolade like the Brownlow, but they are not overated.

Overated are players who are classified and categorised with the best in the AFL without actually having the ability, talents and consistancy like the best.

I dont need facts to back up my opinion.Whats the point in having a opinion if you have to have facts to back it up

If i think Pavlich and Cousins is overated,i dont have to explain myself to you with "facts".
