Joel Embiid vs Ben Simmons - who will be greater?

Embiid is #1 right. But what about the future? In my unbiased opinion, Simmons has more room to grow, and if he's successful, he'll truly be the more well rounded baller than his team mate. He'd be a rebounding, assisting, and scoring machine.

Embiid. For sure.

Simmons has huge flaw in his game in shooting, and he can't run half court offense only transitions at his best, stifles his team unless he has tons of his shooters around him, which he doesn't this season. Makes him play like a Rondo then a LeBron lite. Worrying thing he shows zero willingness to improve his shot, would easily be top 10-12 player if he did.

While Embiid is already top 10 for me, has virtually no weakness, turnover prone sometimes, but otherwise he is both insanely dominant defensively and offensively. You have to double team on low post and he has decent range so you can't leave him open.

It's shocking to see few Philly games this season how teams studied Simmons and just clog paint, cover his teammates, giving wide birth in perimeter, turnover prone because he forces it or passes to someone who is covered. Just shoot the ball, atleast even in below average efficiency, but he refuses to even try.

If Embiid's body holds up then definitely him.

He might retire as a top 5 center all time.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? Embiid probably. He's already got more tools than Simmons and is a better defender too. But both need a better coach. They've been turning the ball over too much. Good teams know how to stop both of them.

being close wouldn't be too hard for somebody with his skills...as long as his body holds

I'll bump the 90's NBA Draft thread if that happens.

Yea, longevity is a huge concern with him that's why I have no high hopes for him still. If he can even survive another 4-5 years at least, it should be celebrated.

Ben Simmons has attempted 0 threes this season
