All-Star Game 2016

so the voting starts today

these would be my picks:

East

Lowry
Wade
LeBron
Paul George
Drummond

West

Curry
Harden
Durant
Griffin
Davis

I also got to wonder if Porzingis gets voted in? Because Latvians actually managed to do it last year in NHL All-Star voting...some pretty random Latvian player Girgensons won the whole thing thanks to a country-wide campaign.

Also for the love of god, please don't vote Kobe into the starting lineup again

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? AndÖ.itís the football, thatís the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

this year it's possible to vote via google, just by typing "NBA All Star vote" or something similar into the search box and a vote card pops up...10 votes per day (must be for different players)

I left Kyrie off for now only due to injury. Also Rose can very well beat out another guard in the East.

The starting five for each conference were to be selected by us, the fans from voting.
The bench players will be selected by the NBA team head-coaches.
So different mechanism. Starters are fans-favorites, benches are coaches-favorites.
Also the players classified as "frontcourt" (forwards and centers) and "backcourt" (guards) players.

My prediction goes like this:
East:
Frontcourt:
LeBron James
Paul George
Carmelo Anthony
Backcourt:
Dwyane Wade
Kyrie Irving

Bench:
Andre Drummond
Kevin Love
DeMar DeRozan
Jimmy Butler
John Wall
Kyle Lowry
Isaiah Thomas

West:
Frontcourt:
Kevin Durant
Anthony Davis
Blake Griffin
Backcourt:
Stephen Curry
Russell Westbrook

Bench:
Marc Gasol
DeMarcus Cousins
LaMarcus Aldridge
Klay Thompson
James Harden
Damian Lillard
Chris Paul

I don't see why or how, he's trash now.

so it looks like the Latvians won't have a campaign to vote Kristaps in after all: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ba...icle-1.2476945

he's so far only 8th among the East front court players.

Kobe leading the overall votes with 719K while Curry has 510K...that's it, the All Star game is officially a joke now alm:

agreed

Always hated the fan votes, which is why in many ways the All Star game has become a farce

Kobe is obviously not deserving of being an all star (even with his recent semi resurgence lately) but is his inclusion more of a joke than lets say Yao Ming getting voted in for all those years despite not even playing? The system has been flawed and definitely needs to be looked at by the new commish. That and the ridiculous hack a Dwight/Deandre/Drummond strategy. The Clippers-Rockets game the other day was brutal to watch because of the intentional fouling.

I think the rules shouldn't be altered because of a few bad apples unwilling to practice their free throw shooting. Yeaaa, it's ugly, but you work with what is given to you. It's really no different than fouling intentionally seconds to go to stop the clock and give yourself another opportunity to score.

Irving getting so many votes is even a bigger joke. He has played in like 3 games all year. At least this is Kobe's final year so obviously he's gonna get some special treatment.

What I found hilarious is guys like Kanter, Gortat got quite some votes too. Turkish and Polak communities in full force.

Enes Kanter is a huge cunt with a really ugly mug and personality. I hope he doesn't make the team.

West:

Curry
Westbrook
Bryant (overall vote winner alm
Leonard
Durant

East:

Lowry
Wade

Historical selection: first time ever there are zero big men in the starting lineups.
