NCAA Basketball 2014/15

Interesting news regarding one of the greatest freshman prospects: Emmanuel Mudiay will not attend SMU but will turn pro instead and go to overseas.

In a statement to Sports Illustrated, Mudiay said, "I was excited about going to SMU and playing college basketball for coach Brown and his staff and preparing for the NBA ...But I was tired of seeing my mom struggle. And after sitting down with coach Brown and my family, we decided that the best way for me to provide for my mom was to forgo college and pursue professional basketball opportunities."

lol @ amateurism...hopefully more kids will take this path in the future as European basketball so so much more competitive and tougher than college ball.

Although some rumors connect Mudiay with China...meh. He's a very promising player BTW.

He was rumored to be a top 5 talent in the next draft. And good for the kid. **** playing for free when the college makes millions off him and other kids like him.

Emmanuel Mudiay has agreed to a one-year, $1.2 million contract with Guangdong of the China Basketball Association, the richest overseas contract ever for a high school player, a source told Yahoo Sports.

Mudiay, 19, had been faced with eligibility issues for his freshman season at Southern Methodist University under Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown and made the decision to play in China before becoming eligible for the 2015 NBA draft.

Watching Notre Dame vs Wichita St because there's some Estonian playing (or to be more precise NOT playing) for the Shockers. ND looks really good, easily winning this. They became ACC champs too, not to shabby. They're likely to meet Kentucky in the next round...who knows, maybe they can do it and beat the big favs.

Quite impressed with Towns and Okafor...they look like centers who can make an immediate impact in NBA. Too bad that ND failed to kick out Kentucky though, they were so close.

Gonzaga's European bigs Karnowski and Sabonis look like guys who might succeed in NBA too.

Kentucky's quest for a perfect season ended in the Final Four as they were beaten by Wisconsin, who will play Duke in the Final. My money is on Krzyzewski leading the Blue Devils to his 5th NCAA title.
