Spurs 12 - 14 vs Pistons 03 - 05

Spurs one of the best offensive teams ever, that could put 110 points each game. Vs the pistons, known for their scary defence with wallace house protecting the paint.

I feel both teams had similar story.

Pistons won 4 - 1 vs the lakers ( shaq, kobe, malone, payton) with top notch defence. Then the next year they lost 7 game series 4 - 3 to the spurs, it was close .

Spurs on other hand lost 4 - 3 to miami ( close one), then next year won 4 - 1 against miami ( lebron, wade, bosh, allen).

Being the biased myself to defensive basketball, I would honestly pick the pistons over the spurs. What about you?

Pistons also had the great larry brown coaching them.

I think the current Spurs would most likely win it, the 13/14 edition with improved Leonard and Ginobili back at his best has a fair chance against any past team. They're absurdly deep: Duncan, Parker, Leonard, Diaw, Green, Ginobili, Mills, Splitter, Belinelli, Bonner...and their teamwork is brilliant. There's just so many ways this team can hurt you and even when 1-2 players have off nights they can win with +15 pts.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

^ Yup. Every player on this Spurs roster was indoctrinated how to play ball the proper and most efficient way. The Piston team would lose imo. What bothered the Spurs the most in these playoffs were the PG and PF positions. Westbrook was way too athletic for them as was Ibaka. Before them it was Monta Ellis. I guess if you can disrupt their flow of the game and own the paint, they could struggle. Billups was a good defender, but he was slow as hell. I think Spurs would win in 6-7 games
