Durant is doing it all by himself with some help from Reggie Jackson, while LBJ is doing it with much more help...

Durant has been the best player in the league so far.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

Durant without a doubt. With Westbrook out, he's winning the games for OKC, even when Jackson plays mediocre.

To give you an idea of how well Durant is doing, his WS48 is .329. If the season ended today, that would rank SECOND all-time behind Kareem's 1971-72 season .

yeah he has been in a sick form...Westbrook's injuries have helped him though as it has improved his usage rate

His usage rate hasn't gone up that much. He had similar rates in 2009-10 (32%) and 2011-12 (31.3%). He's just become, like LeBron, more efficient. His PER has shot up 2.5 points. He's averaging 2 more FGA's a game, but scoring 3 more points than last year. That's insane.

also averaging 0.6 more assists compared to last year...his usage rate indeed has been even higher before (in 09/10)

Durantula is a freak of nature. He's like a 6'10" 3 point shooting guard machine.

Apart from LeBron, other players can't figure out how to trouble him.

Durant is playing incredibly well this season, not just scoring but also his all-around game. Some people forget that he's on course for a 2nd straight 50-40-90 season AND leading the league in PPG. He is the ultimate scoring machine, great shooting range, athletic, and this season he even incorporated a one-legged post fadeaway jumper ala Dirk Nowitzki. I believe he will add a hook shot to his post moves someday and if he does that, he will be the best ever scorer in the NBA.

Durant +30 pts in 12 games in a row...owned LeBron on his home court He might be the best basketball player in the world indeed by now.

This year it`s Durant`s!

Lazio midfield 1999: ** Nedved - Veron - Simeone - Conceicao

Lazio midfield, 13.12.2009: ** Kolarov - Firmani - Del Nero - Lichtsteiner

the race is on, lebron beat durant ass yesterday. SO its 1 - 1 in the head to head now. I think it will come down to whichever team has better record.

LeBron would deserve it for a 3rd time. He puts up incredible stats and without him the Heat would be nowhere. But I think even though they defeated Oklahoma, I have a feeling no matter what LeBron does or doesn't do, I feel strong that they will give it to Durant to reduce disparity.

Kevin Durant right now would still be my MVP, one game against the Heat doesn't change that.
