XT TOP 10 Point Guard all time

I am going to post my top 10 points guard of all time I watched or read about , feel free to disagree and post yours as well. Will do this for every position as well, tough to do voting cause we are little in numbers here anyway. The goal is to generate more activity in the section colocolo destroyed all by himself.

1 - Magic Johnson

No one going to disagree with this choice. After Michael Jordan, possible the 2nd greatest player ever. He led the lakers to 9 ****ing finals, winning five in the process. He was a great team player. Very versatile, and could play any position. Read he even played once in NBA final as center.

2 - Oscar Robertson

He only won one MVP and one title, but he did something we will probably never see again ...that is average triple double in a season.

3 - John Stockton

NBA record in all time steals and assists. He never won a title, but we should never forget he came up against the best player of all time Michael Jordan. Jordan denied him twice from winning the title.

4 - Isaiah Thomas

The best little player ever in the game, he led the bad boy pistons to two championships in 1990's. Creative player, clutch shooter and excellent defender.

5 - Walt Frazier

One of the best defensive point guard of all time, along with gary payton. He was a key for new york knicks for 2 championships run in 1970 and 1973.

Will do rest later...

When we enter this zone, the lists will differ. I will listen to alot of people disagree with my choices, thats fair and acceptable. Top of list is clearer , then choices between 6 to 10.

6 - Bob Cousy

The lead guard for 8 boston celtics championships.Won two all star MVP, he was also first point guard of all time to win mvp award.

7 - Nate Archibald

Only player in history of the league to have led both points and assists category in same season. He won one championship with boston celtics, and in that same year he won all star mvp award.

8 - Gary Payton

He is the only point guard to have won defensive player of the year award. He is third all time in steals as well. He won one championship as a member of the Miami Heat in 2006. He was a very durable player as well, missed just 25 games his entire career.

9 - Jason Kidd

Third all time in triple doubles in regular season with 100, and second all time in triple doubles in playoffs. He led the league in assists five times, he won a championship as a member of dallas mavericks in 2011. Previously he led new jersey nets to two nba finals, where they lost to the spurs and lakers.

10 - Steve Nash

I am only putting him because he will probably in many people list, one of my most hated players ever.Sorry for the no description on him.

I am going to list him in top 10 shooting guards of all time, he was undersized SG. Just imagine what he could have done if he was bit taller. He would have been unstoppable with that quickness.

As a pure playmaker I would prefer Stockton over everybody.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? as i said, as a playmaker not as a PG as such...in an all-time lineup it would be reasonable to get an old-fashioned passing specialist instead of an all-purpose versatile scorer like Robertson or Magic.

Yeah, I've always had this strange bias against Stockton for some reason. It's probably because he looks like the little guy in an NBA Jam team. But I definitely respect his game. And I don't like dirty players in general but Stockton can be pretty devious and that's cool.

I really hope CP3 can win at least a title or two before he retires (or at least in his prime), because on stats alone he has everyone beat... Ridiculously efficient. Since 2007, his usage rate is lower than most top PGs (Isiah, Payton, and Parker all have higher %), yet he has an Offensive Rating of 124. Kind of ridiculous when you consider the players he's been surrounded with (especially in NOH). His assist/turnover ratio (4.3) is miles ahead of everyone else except Stockton (3.8). He also averages as many steals as Stockton too (2.5).

Hoping a Kareem falls into his lap, or his current Clippers squad can turn into the Bad Boy Pistons and help him win a few rings.

Steve Nash anounces retirement with 0 rings to his name. Top 10 all time PG, Chris Paul to follow his footsteps minus "undeserved" league MVP's.
