Best NBA Players to never win a Ring

Following the thread in world football forum, and to generate more activity here I came up with this thread.

I'll let others like firdaus to name their set of bball players, I am going with my favorite Allen Iverson




Just like Lebron dragged a piss poor cleveland cavaliers to the NBA final in 2007, Iverson did the same with the 2001 sixers team.He single handedly drove them to the finals. The playoff series between toronto and sixers was great one too, carter and AI exchanging 50 point games. He is the second best little man to play the game after Isaiah Thomas, and the greatest little man scorer ever in NBA.
Ranks 12th in steals all time, 19th in points, and 38 in assists ( so much for being selfish, the assist also stand out for him).


Other players ( Let other members name it here).. Elgin Baylor made the finals 8 times..and never won a single title. Alot of players can come in from the jordan era.

Lots of greats (Stockton, Malone, Nash, etc) but my favourite is probably Reggie Miller. Obviously his shooting was just amazing but it was the way he trolled the Knicks time and time again which makes him a legend. Sport was so much better in the 90's.

Reggie Miller is probably the greatest 3 point shooter of all time, him or Ray Allen. Ray Allen broke Miller numbers though.
He only made one finals, losing to the los angeles lakers in 2000.

8 points in 9 seconds vs new york knicks ... he defo had big games vs new york in playoffs

Stockton - Karl Malone is one of the best one - two punches in NBA history. If Not for Michael Jordan, I think both would have won at least a ring or even two ( they reached finals twice in 1997 and 1998)

In Malone case he reached the final 3 times, one more time with the lakers... where it was probably the most stacked team in history of NBA to lose the finals to detroit pistons ( Malone, SHAQ, Kobe, Payton and phil jackson as coach).

How about Sir Charles Barkley?
One of the most dominant power forward of all time, altho he was short for his position lol.
Again he lost in the nba finals of 1993, and Jordan prevented him from winning a ring.

Short for his position is an understatement. Chuck was 6'4 and playing power forward in the most physical era of the NBA. One man fast break and very underrated in the modern sense.

Also a very entertaining TV guy. The best in the world in any sport IMO. Genuinely loves the game and the players and brutally honest.

Pistol Pete Maravich for TTM




NCAA All time leading top scorer. He retired early from NBA at age 32, due to injury.Never been to finals, never won a ring.But he is defo a name to remember.

Unfortunately my favorite player Patrick Ewing is definitely one to remember for this. Came close but no cigar...hopefully I get to see the Knicks win a championship one day.

Chris Webber, the early 2000 kings was beauty team to watch under rick adelman.They deserved to win NBA title, if not for unfortunate refereeing in 2002 vs the lakers.

Way to go out of topic. Lebron won 2 titles, whether one likes it or not.
Also not winning a ring doesnt make one a loser IMO. It doesnt make him a bigger great, but defo not a loser. I think likes of barkley, Stockton, Malone are winners.But they would be ranked higher if they won a title.

the fact that ewing has one mention in this thread is a crime...its a shame he got good players only until later in his career when injuries and age took a big toll on the big man, plus he played in the same conference as MJ so theirs that
