Seems the russian owner ready to pay anything for brooklyn to be success

I move them ahead of new york.I defo take miami ahead , and then bulls/pacers are better as well imo.SO I put them at 4th after this trade, ahead of new york knicks.

With the way the Spurs lost. I have no hopes or expectations. It is not impossible for the Nets to win but I have no idea how things will pan out. Stern is a sack of shit.

Nets have a complete team. They also drafted Plumlee which can serve as a rebounding center. Their rotation is solid now.

Great trade for Boston, they were going no where with that bunch. Basically a .500 team. Suddenly they've gotten four future first rounders to go along with their first rounders and kicking the rebuild into action.

I feel like they should have done the deal Philly just did and traded Rondo for Noel plus 1st rounder next season.

seems like a poor long term move for the Njets...I mean what's the point, they're not going to challenge the Heat in EC with those veterans. It would be better to try and build for the future.

Although who knows, maybe they simply want to build market in NY...those early years and the relative success (even if the max they could realistically get is conf semis/final) might be very important for the franchise.

looks like Lakers vol 2...too many selfish stars and the aging Garnett the only hard-working defender in the bunch.

blatche is a free agent. The nets starting line up combine for 81 million dollar already. You add jason terry off the bench, its around 87 million .

Pretty bad rebuilding package for Danny Ainge, with that Wallace 40/4 deal.

Maybe Boston will benefit from it if the Nets pull an Isiah Thomas with the 2016 and 2018(Although I do not see them missing the playoff once during that entire timeframe, so in essence those picks will be in the 15 if not 20+ range which is hardly a big deal) - but even if so Danny Ainge will be watching those draft from home if he doesn't move his ass and finds a way to throw a grenade at the remaining roster and make this team worst to be able to properly tank, while not having as much money guaranteed.

He might make more moves to make more sense - Green, Rondo, but as it stands I don't think Boston are gonna be able to get a top 5 pick. That Wallace contract is a real pain in the ass that is not going away nowhere, and Bass and Lee contracts likely would need to have sweeteners added to them to be offloaded.

Don't waste your time on jealously; sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind.

The race is long, and in the end - it's only with yourself.

Terrible move by Brooklyn. Boston won in this trade since it benefits their rebuilding process.

Brooklyn is looking for short term success and it will bite them in the ass. Too many old/washed up/injury prone players who have nothing left in the tank. JKidd as coach? He basically has 1 year to win a championship in his first year as coach!

I think its honestly this man.

Prokhorov wanted a championship within 4-5 years. He can't wait. He wants to get this team popular ASAP. If he doesn't appease Williams soon enough and if this team doesn't contend soon enough, a huge opportunity could be blown.

Ironically the Clippers are another team that have a huge potential to raise their profile if they get their shit together.

The Nets took a risk with Kidd, while the Clippers went the smart route and grabbed Doc Rivers while he's still available.

This trade just doesn't look good for either team IMO. Nets got 3 REALLY OLD GUYS (remember people were calling them old since 2009?) while the Celts got a few bad contracts and first round picks that will always be lottery picks.

I feel like the only way the Celtics can get the better of this trade is if they package the Nets picks for a Top 5 pick in next years draft and hope to God they win the Wiggins lottery.

Considering the Nets have absolutely no worry at all spending as much money as it takes, this can't be anything but a great trade for them.

They don't care if they have to pay 300 million, it doesn't really matter. Once they traded for Joe Johnson who single handedly cripples them for the remaining of his contract, they pretty much showed what's their concern order - money isn't in the top 10.

They're a MUCH better team then last year.

Key is for players to gel and Pierce and Garnett to remain injury free come playoff time. The same applies with Terry.

They make a lot of sense on the court. I don't see any reason why they won't gel great.

Garnett is a brilliant PNR partner for D-Will, and work great as an inside-out threat with Lopez who both could do either one - defensively obviously Garnett is a perfect match for Lopez with his defense.

And Pierce brings that extra ball-handling and shooting they missed when people were staying 10 feet away from Gerald Wallace, and also he knows how to get himself to the line a lot which is something Brooklyn missed.

Joe Johnson is not foreign to playing a role, and actually I think would thrive more when he's not asked to do that much and him Pierce and Deron share the on-ball responsibility.

Overall I think their only down-fall is health and staying on the court - I think a starting 5 of

Deron Williams
Joe Johnson
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Brook Lopez

Is an extremely good starting 5, without any glaring weakness - that offensively should be in a very good sync with one another and makes a lot of sense, and is very versatile too.

Bottom line it'll fall down on how much Garnett can change that culture, and how much can he stay on the floor - cause when he's on the floor and can focus on defense which this roster would allow him to, he is one of the most influential players in the league even at his age.

They need to add more athleticism and perimeter defense, but those roles are not hard to find and could come with vet min.
