Dwight Howard sweepstakes

Where do you guys think he will end?



Lakers


If they keep Howard, or even do sign and trade for howard..they will pay huge amount of luxury taxes. But if they let him go, lakers will be totally hurt.Would be an absymal defensive team with old bastards like Gasol, Kobe, World Peace and Nash in the team.

Houston

Have enough cap-space I think to do sign and trade deal with lakers. I find this the best fit for howard.Houston lack a rim protector like him, an interior defender, a top rebounder plus paint scoring.On other hand howard will be surrounded with many 3 point shooters in houston.Plus he will have a a superstar besides him in james harden.


Dallas

They say dallas might trade their 13th pick to land dwight howard. Howard + Nowitzki would be golden to watch.And would put dallas in contention.



Atlanta Hawks


Him and chris paul take their ass to Atlanta? to play together? can it happen?

I think people are making Wiggins more then he is. He's a great talent, but he's not a Durant/Oden surefire caliber franchise changer prospect - let alone a Lebron.

He might be if he'll have generational work ethic, but that's too big a gamble to count on - as far as his basketball skills go besides vertical leap and genera athletic ability - there's nothing there to really 'wow' you - atleast not in the magnitudes he's being referred to as. I was excited when he was 16, but he seems to not really improve much from back then right now which I find concerning - I am encouraged by him choosing Kansas and not UK though.

As for Dwight - he would be quite simply retarded not to go to Houston who is by far the best fit - and being in Texas they make alot of sense financially aswell.

The only way I think he should have 2nd thoughts is if Lakers fire MDA and either hire Phil Jackson, or put him incharge of the franchise for him to hire someone with his line of thinking in sort of like a Pat Riley role.

Houston btw have enough capspace to just sign him outright if they make some minor moves - no need for S&T.

Don't waste your time on jealously; sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind.

The race is long, and in the end - it's only with yourself.

yeh, from basketball point of view. Houston is flat out the best fit.
I seen many games of houston this year, Asik worked his ass off.And without Asik they would have been alot worse as well.But damn, all what they do is live and die with the 3. No Paint scoring, no rebounding, no defence at all. Howard will strengthen houston in what they were poor last year, and in return Howard will be surrounded with what fits his style ( 3 point shooters).

I hope Rockets too...they were already one of the most entertaining teams to follow last season...with Howard they might be title contenders.

although I would feel sorry about Asik whose improvement over the last season was impressive, he's too good to sit on the bench so maybe he'd be forced to switch clubs again.

can houston afford to sign those 3?

Miami will have hard time keeping their big 3 together, due to luxury tax new rules. And Miami generate alot of revenues since lebron came in.( top 5 i think next to lakers, knicks, brooklyn ) .

They have enough cap room for Howard. For Smith they will have to get creative with a sign and trade. Like Omer Asik + Thomas Robinson may be.

I voted other thinking CP3 and Dwight would come to the Clippers but realized the Clippers might not have enough cap room to do that, so Houston would probably be the most realistic.

They have no other choice IMO. Altho their 2014 future looks good,alot of cap space .....but for next year it wont look good if howard leaves.
I doubt they make playoffs if howard leaves. They will lose the young piece and keep kobe, pau, nash, world peace, steve blake another year lol.

without howard, i wont be surprised if lakers allow 120 points per game next year lol.

Phil Jackson will not return to coaching. At all IMO. He got 11 rings, and i dont think he would like to coach a team that is not contending.His options are all taken ( Heat, OKC, Spurs, Bulls , Pacers )


I hope he does like Pat Riley though, try to build a team from president office. Riley has proven himself on all levels, as coach and now president with the miami heat. The same also for Larry bird, he was great as player great as coach with indiana and great in building the current indiana from behind the scenes.
