My predictions:

Eastern Conference:

  • Heat in 4
  • Knicks in 6
  • Pacers in 5
  • Bulls in 7 (If Noah is back) otherwise Nets in 6
Western Conference:
  • Thunder in 4

  • Nuggets-GSW is a toss up. The best player theory favors GSW and the Nuggets injuries don't fill me with confidence.

Fun first day. Boston couldn't get anything going in the final 12. Curry with a big three in his debut but the ageless Miller helps the Nuggs win. Brooklyn wipes the floor with Chicago. Paul and the Clips shut Memphis down.

A torn hip flexor pretty much ruined the potentially beautiful Nuggets-Warriors series. Hate it when injuries ruin potential chances. Apart from that a pretty expected first day to the playoffs.

Thunder absolutely annihilated Rockets...Jeremy Lin is really horrible I must say. Knicks fans were going nuts over losing him in the summer but they had no idea how lucky they were.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

LOL defense kicked butt big time.

Williams was obsolete in this 2nd game thanks to tough defense, 1-9 FG, 0-5 3pts, did well in assists department but couldn't help his team on the scoring end of things.

Gerald Wallace also with a weak performance.

Golden State about to eliminate Denver Nuggets without David Lee. What the hell.

Any chance Nuggets may turn this one around fellas?

Lazio midfield 1999: ** Nedved - Veron - Simeone - Conceicao

Lazio midfield, 13.12.2009: ** Kolarov - Firmani - Del Nero - Lichtsteiner

Not a chance all, pathetic I know, but now I know exactly why.

The problem with Denver is that no one guy really steps it up.

Sure Ty Lawson works hard for an undersized point guard gets a great FG%, improved his shooting strokes last year, and can hit solid 3s.

But guys like him are not stepping it up and the rest of the guys are 1 dimensional. For example.

Afflalo (last year), Gallinari, Lawson, Brewer, Chandler etc. are suppose to help out on the scoring end of things. They're all capable of making shots. But some nights they're abysmal and other nights they just don't go for their shots.

This is the difference between why the Spurs are so successful while the Nuggets are not. Both coaches/managers do an amazing job of putting out a talented 10-12 man rotation with limited salary caps but the difference between the two is Popovich is so anal that he'll scream for his players to go for the damn shot. For God's sakes he makes guys like Kawi Leonard become wing shooters. They don't have to create anything just wait for the point guard to setup an easy play than try to knock down the shot regardless if it goes in or not. On the other hand the Nuggets guards and forwards just don't step it up when they need to. Distribute the ball WAY TOO much.

Also Golden State seems to be taking more of their shots and seem to be more or less just better shooters even if they have too many role players. They seem to make their shots.

Another problem with Denver is the mentality of the players. Some want to specialize in one department (Afflalo and now replaced with Iggy both like to defend more than score), others like Lawson and Miller like to pass too much, Faried just wants to focus on rebounding, others like McGee are not sure what they're suppose to do sometimes focus on rebounding, sometimes on scoring, sometimes on defending but don't really come out with the same expectations every night.
