2012 NBA Draft Lottery

Time to start talking. While the Play-Offs are going, teams like the Bobcats, my Kings, etc. are looking towards the Lottery. This is where a team's future is decided. Imagine if the Lostcats get the fourth pick despite being the worst NBA team of all-time.... Anyways, the chances for every team are here:

well considering non of them is 7 foot tall, I don't think they can be qualified as twin towers

I'm hoping for Sactown to reach the top 3, then you still got a chance for MKG - Davis is the perfect compliment to Cousins though on almost every aspect of the game.

If not the Kings i'd want the Wizards to grab Davis though, with John Wall and Nene that's a very solid core.

The next 12 years of the Bobcats organization rests in them winning the Anthony Davis lottery.

John Wall isn't that great. He's clearly a legitimate point guard but he doesn't know how to utilize his abilities at all. He had similar issues under Calipari. He doesn't show up.

lol if I were Davis I would have deliberately stayed in college for another year for the sole purpose of dodging horrible organizations like Washington or Charlotte, and hoping that a much better franchise would pick me up at a lower pick.

The team with the top chance to get the first pick generally doesn't. I hope the Hornets can somehow end up with two top 5 picks. Eric Gordon + Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - Anthony Davis would be an amazing trio

Indeed would be a shame for such a prospect to land on such a poor team, but such is life in the NBA I guess.

the highest probability for each team 1 to 5 is to finish 1(for 4th and 5h), 2(for 2nd and 3rd) and 3 (for the 1st) spot behind where they were ment to pick - from 6 and under the highest probability for each team is to pick where they were ment to pre-lottary.

ye but what I mean is, the same apply to every setup you'll have every year - I mean if there's a number 6-7-8 team who jumps to the top 3 or even wins, that's already a lower probability then what happened this year.. the only change this year was a num 4 jumping to number 1.

Compared to previous years this year is an abnormality though.. there was always a team jumping forward against the odds.

When I think of it further, what a loss to Brookly Nets.

They were hoping for a top 3 pick which they would have retained and now their pick went to Blazers.

Now about Blazers, they have 2 picks in the first 11 and with such a deep draft, they could do really good. Or they can retain one and trade the other. They have a lot options.

I hear rumors circulating already that the Kings will go for a big man combination. Meaning they'll be keen to draft Drummond and use his athleticism to play as a center while move Cousins to utilize his talent as a power forward. I think this is a good idea assuming Drummon doesn't end up becoming a bust. There's not that many proven players in this draft so at this point it wouldn't be a terrible gamble even if it went sour. It would be a wiser choice than say Harrison Barnes who had a ton of turnovers, is quite rigid, and has a long way to go.

I can`t wait for the draft. THis is such a deep one but as always, some teams will get lucky and some make terrible judgements.


Dallas is though to be interested in adding a shooting guard position and several candidates have been rumored.
