Don't worry about the rhymes at the start or end of his verse...he's just having some fun by taking Snoop's parts from version 1 of this song (probably surprised Snoop IRL with this).

Btw, can you fvckin leave Eminem aside for now? Listen to some of the others to make up your top 10. You can have Em at 1; relax.
You chillax! I'm just stating my opinion eloquently enough so you'd stop trying to shove inspectah deck or Nas up my preferences

Now let's get to more important stuff. What do you think of Bobby Shmurda?

Then just go and listen to them and thank me later.

What can I say here? I've only heard a couple of songs and I have to say that I don't hate it at all. It's just music to make you move and get you hype; nothing more. I'm not going to buy his music or put it on any time soon but if I hear it at a club or something, I won't get mad. This isn't lyrical rap but it works for what it (seems to) set out to do. Nowadays, production in general tends to be fairly generic and/or throwaway, but from what I've heard from this guy, it's actually pretty nice.

As far as the current scene goes, I definitely prefer this to the generic mumble rap and stroke rap (my own term, take note). Stroke rap is that short burst nonsense...imagine how someone would sound while having a stroke and that would be it. Think Cardi B and that kind of complete GARBAGE. See? Now you got me fired up about this shit.

Jaco developed an interest in hip hop after initially disliking the genre for its use of vulgarity and misogyny.

Fiasco stated his credo on political philosophy: "You should criticize power even if you agree with it."

Lupe Fiasco has endorsed the idea that Islam will some day "be the world's religion and conquer the world."

Interesting fella.

^ the damn performance. Tetsuo & Youth might be the most underrated rap album that came out in last 10 years.

Also talking about some other ones, he certainly doesn't have enough work out there considering his time in the game, but, based on his talent alone Jay Electronica is up there. The guy is master. Black Thought from the Roots is also timeless.

I'm sure you can answer this better than I can since I've only heard a little from both. Those deconstructions are only for showing the internal rhymes. From what I've heard from these two, they're not heavy on internals and they're more about spitting fast-paced, rhythmic bars (I think they both are known for the "chopper" style). The deconstructions aren't geared to capture that. Maybe showing the number of syllables packed into bars (as opposed to just laying out the lyrics) could give people some kind of idea about the rapid-fire intensity they're known for.

About the lists, I'm just interested in seeing people show their lists (even if it's just top 5) and show some kind of criteria for them and perhaps arguments in favour of putting someone ahead of another.

R Kelly might mostly be labelled as an R&B/Soul singer, but he's an underrated rapper IMHO.

Not sure what key this is. My best guess would be that he's in A minor

Yea, certainly syllables. I was just wondering about those two because the amount of shit they can pile up in their verses since their rapping style allows it. I actually never thought about this prior to your clip.

Anyway these songs came to mind, but the patterns are pretty random

Those 2 tracks you posted have a ton of internal rhymes too...I think they'd look good deconstructed. I thought you were talking about their chopper style songs like Chino's 'No Complex'. I think that kind of rapid-fire style is a separate skill and an asset for those rappers (like these guys) who use it to great effect. You even see battle rappers today using that chopper style as part of their arsenal.

I've heard the Chino XL track before but I don't remember it. Listening to it now though...wow, the guy kills it around 3:23...sick bars! I think I have to listen to an album soon.
