I love it when you stop listening to a band because their new material is guff & it just puts you off them entirely for a while. And then you come back to the early stuff ages later & suddenly it all comes flooding back. Well, that's me with Opeth right this moment.

Fuck it is good. Not "for a death metal band this is good", this is just good. So very good. I can't wait until I get to Still Life. But not before I listen to the first 3 records. GOOD TIMES

yeah, opeth are great. i remember when i told you that My Arms, Your Hearse was better than Still Life. Turns out I was wrong, Still Life is better.

Yeah, Still Life is obscenely good. No idea why it's been neglected by me of late

Y'know, Ignore the bass being far too low in the mix, this tune is bitchin'

Someone on my Facebook posted a Madball video & now I've gone a dark hole of 90s NYHC. And that led me to Biohazard. First saw this song on a promo DVD I got, it's just hilarious. Evan Seinfeld is screaming about never selling out, while doing his best Fred Durst impression.

Biohazard had some good fun songs, but that song I just can't get past the corny video. Quite like the Urban Discipline album

So here's a slightly better song just to be fair

I do like some rubbish though

First song from the new DEP record

It sounds a lot like DEP, not that that's a bad thing

I'm totally just making this the "whatever the fuck that's vaguely metal/punk/hardcore-influenced in the slightest" thread.

I really liked them live. Quite mental.

I love the mix of melody & mania in a track like this
