Bologna vs Inter, Sep 1st @ 18.00 CET

GDS is reporting the following line-up, which unfortunately has both Dilberto Sh*tshow and Matias Vecintard - 2 massive weaknesses. I would simply play a back 4 with D'Ambro at LB and obviously Gagliardini in central mid instead of Vecintard.

Seemingly D'Ambro won't play LWB this season because he is needed on the right side of the 3 CBs (so the team can switch smoothly to a back 4 with D'Ambro as RB).

P.S. Did anyone else think Vrsaljko was pretty sh*tty against Torino? Contributed very little going forward and looks to have a fraction of the ability of Joao Cancelo.

Anyway, GDS says:

--------------------------------------Handa------------------------------------------------

-----------D'Ambro-----------------De Vrij-----------------------Skriniar--------------------

Vrsaljko---------------Vecintard--------------Brozovic------------------------Diberto--------

-----------------------Nainggolan-------------Perisic----------------------------------------

-----------------------------------Icardi----------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to pull a Tony Montana here and not credit the original source of the above material. Hopefully the shitty formation above doesn't come to fruition though. Dumbro and Vecino should be dumped in favour of Gags and Politano in a 4-3-3 formation.

Dilberto is a questionmark as well. His passing is one of the worst I've seen at Inter, it's like he's completely unable to read the game.

I hope you will be having a 90 minute-long Futsal game at 18:00 tomorrow. We were leading 2-0 v Toro til you showed up to watch that game... cvnt.

Last season Verdi scored a quality goal against us in this fixture. Him and Young Di Francesco have both left Bologna in the summer though.

Bologna striker Falcinelli has scored before against us for Crotone in 16-17 and Sassuolo last season. Would be remarkable if he scores for 3 different teams in 3 consecutive seasons against us.

After the marking failure on Belotti in the first goal, it will be odd to see D'ambrosio playing as a RCB tomorrow.

Nah, it was 2-1 by the time I started watching. And we were already playing like rubbish.

Thank God we will have Asamoah available for this one which means we can avoid ourselves using Dalbert. Then also great news that Nainggolan is back for this one and he should be starting as well. I think our team will improve starting from this weekend since having Nainggolan back in our line-up will be a huge boost in our game.

Bologna is pretty shit, we should win this one if our players perform at 50% of their capacity. Against Torino in first half we played very well, too bad our performance went downhill in the second half. Lets repeat the same first half performance of last game.

In a proper football team, Vecino should have been benched after those terrible performances against Sassuolo and Torino, but when you think of Gagliardini as his replacement, then its basically replacing the same shit but different package. Gagliardini was pretty shit in pre season friendlies as well, so if we had him in those two beginning games wouldn't make any difference though.

Nonetheless I'm optimistic that our team will get their shit together in this one. I'm only hoping Nainggolan stays injury free because we are fvcked if he gets another injury which would leave him out of pitch for a long time.

No idea where you get your information from but according to several Italian sources Asamoah is injured and Dilberto will start.

Back 3 same as the Torino game. Perisic and Nainggolan behind behind Icardi.

You are either unaware of, or wilfully overlooking, the fact that Gagliardini plays very well next to Brozovic in a double pivot, while Vecino plays terribly next to Brozovic in a double pivot. Watch the Samp, Napoli or Milan games from the 2nd half of last season for proof of this.

Pre-season is completely irrelevant now. Spaletti clearly has a hard-on for Vecino's work rate, so ignores the general atrocity that is his passing and total failure to provide defensive cover. He also makes Brozovic play worse. Gagliardini starting is a total no-brainer.

Asamoah is called up for the match so his injury must have been minor.

Bologna will miss Palacio and Donsah, that is positive for us.

Our last win at Bologna was in 16-17 thanks to Gabigol's only goal at Inter.

Which italian sources have you been reading? Sky has reported yesterday that Asamoah is recovered and will most probably be in our starting eleven.

Perisic inside is a big no-no, he is only useful when he's playing in the flank.

Don't give me examples on how he played good games in X period or whatever. Even Nagatomo had good games for Inter, also Vecino was great in first phase of last season but he is a shit player. We are stuck with Vecinos, Gagliardinis and Joao Marios. Too bad Borja Valero's legs aren't working as good as his brain because we would have easy way to solve our midfield problem by using him as AM and move Nainggolan back with Brozo.

How difficult is to understand that Gagliardini is very crap and also lacks intelligence. He may have good games here and there, but he's sucking big time. One good game and six or seven bad games isn't enough for this club.

This is why I said we should consider moving Asamoah to midfield temporarily until we bring in a proper midfielder and use D'ambrosio as left back. This isn't the ideal solution, but I'm pretty sure we will avoid suffering headaches by watching either Vecino or Gagliardini in midfield.

Bologna will win 2-1

If no other reporting existed on Trump/Russia, the fact that the FBI started a CI investigation to determine whether or not the sitting president of the US was either comprised by or an agent of Russia, it would be the biggest political story...ever.

Soros is very, very rich and funds every SJW-cause imaginable. Those are facts, not a conspiracy.

I agree with him that this was a total setup

He floats all over the place anyway. Look at where he scored his goal against England - basically from a CF position. He'll be fine.

So you're saying not to give you factual examples based on performances from matches that actually took place, where Italian pundits and anyone with functioning eyes have said that the Gaglia-Brozovic double pivot works extremely well.

OK. I'll just spout random stuff based on intuitive feelings, or whatever it is you use to evaluate players and formations.

Instead of posting random bull backed up by nothing whatsoever, why don't you actually look at his ratings (or just watch the games) when he plays with Brozovic, then compare them to Vecino's ratings/performances, then get back to me?

There's a common denominator here: Gagliardini+Brozovic=good performance

Inter need a modern Davide Fontalan

Icardi benched. Handanovic captains the side today.

Looks like a 4231 based on the lineup

DD RB, Asamoah lb, Skriniar and de vrij CBs

Gagliardini and bro in the middle

Nainggolan cam, Perisic lw and Politano RW

Keita Balde CF

Might work this, mobile attack. We'll see.

Spalletti's making changes every game, still to settle on players or formation.

I'm glad the back 3 has been scrapped, at least for now.

Icardi's injured so why the hell is Lautaro not playing CF?? Another insane decision from Spaletti.

@ Besnik: Gagliardini starting!!

It seems like Spalletti listened to my very valuable opinions.

How come Icardi is on the bench if he's injured?

Ausilio has come out and said both Icardi and Lautaro are injured.

I guess with Icardi they simply mean "not fit enough to start"

So Keita Balde as a CF is a forced/coincidental change then.

Let's hope he will score his first Inter goal.
