Teams: FC Barcelona, Romānia
Mircea Lucescu won the Ukrainian league this year, the supercup and was runner-up in the cup. Decent job in the CL where he managed to surpass Athletic Bilbao and qualified to the round of 16. It was a difficult year for Shakhtar due to the conflict in their country which forced them to play away from their town. This adds a bigger merit to Lucescu.
Cosmin Contra joined a team in a big league for the first time with a difficult task at the middle of the past season: save them from relegation. He did it, adapting very well to the exigence of elite football. He gave to his team the intensity they lacked before him and he won the appreciation in Spanish football.
Laurentiu Reghecampf won a new league title with Steaua but he decided to leave to Arabia. At Al Hilal he managed to reach the Asian CL final but he lost it. He lost two finals this year. His results in the local league are average.
Daniel Isaila won two titles with Astra (cup and supercup, both after beating Steaua) which makes him the most condecorated Romanian coach of the year along with Lucescu. In Europe he got one of the biggest surprises in the last years after eliminating Lyon. In the groups stage he failed to motivate his players and left the team in order to join Iordanescu's team in the NT.
Constantin Galca failed to qualify Steaua to the CL and failed to survive in the EL group. He lost the supercup against Astra. Several failures, but his results in the league are irreproachable. In December they almost have a new league title in the bag and his team progresses with no problems in the rest of domestic tournaments.
The very hated Victor Piturca finally left the NT, but before that he won two important games: in Greece and in Finland. He conceded a draw to Hungary after a bad 2nd half. 2014 was the year when, by his facts, he admited his previous mistake: he called Sanmartean again. He went to Ittihad where his results are poor.
Anghel Iordanescu replaced Piturca in the NT and his presence in this poll is basically symbolic. He managed to win his 2 games this year: Northern Ireland (very important qualifier) and Denmark (friendly), both by 2-0.
