AFC Cup Final: Al Feislay(JOR) vs Al Nejmeh(LEB)

Match Thread.

Feisaly just beat New Raident (sp?) from the Maldives 4-1 in the 2nd leg, after drawing the first leg 1-1.

It was a magical game from the Blues. They came out in the first half, won the game with two goals by Mouayad Salim . And then had their fun in the 2nd half. Siraj Al Tal added the third and Haitham Al Shboul adding the 4th, with a great assist by Hassouneh al Sheikh. Tarik Ahmed, added a goal for the islanders.

Feisaly has a good team. Their keeper, Luay Al Amayreh, wasn't tested in this match, except for maybe that ball that hit the crossbar. We have a pretty solid defense, with Darko as the main man, who also orchestrates some of the attacks from defense.

Qusay abu Alyeh holds the midfield together, and does his part in defense. A very good player.

Hasouneh is the main man in the midfield. He runs everything a great playmaker, who can also score. He was very unlucky today with scoring. Yet he had three assists.

Siraj Al Tal, is another one of the great players. He has to find his form though. He had a decent game scoring one goal, an easy one though. I think he will have an instrumental role, and I think he is one of the best players in the team. Pooh knows how I feel about the guy

Mouayad Salim, is another great player. Simply a goal scorer. Give him a chance to shoot and he will take it, without thinking twice. He can score from pretty much everywhere, inside the box, outside of it, and has the ability to score from free kicks aswell. He can create for his team mates aswell.

Other players include, Khaled Sa'ed, Haitham al Shboul and Hatem Aqel. Great team players, who can also contribute to the match.

I hope we see 2 great games for the final.

Maybe someone from Lebanon can give us osme info about Nejmeh.

Good Luck to both teams

To be honest, the Maldivi team is not even in the same level of Dat Ras! They barely pass the ball correctly.

The only real test for Faisaly is the final, El-Nejmeh gave Inpi a real hard time in the Arab tournament. Faisaly should improve a little bit to beat them in my opinion.

Vamos Argentina!

Congratulations
I believe Nejmeh beat Sun Hai 3-2 away.

So we have an all gulf final in the champions league, and an all levant final in the AFC cup

Best of luck to both teams

Really? I did not know that Sham has a synonym in English for it!

Well, I looked it up in two dictionaries and both refered to it as "eastern"!

Don't lament the treachery of time;
long have dogs danced over the carcasses of lions.

Don't suppose that their dancing raises them above their masters;
for dogs remain dogs, and lions remain lions.

Insult me as you wish;
For my silence to the depraved is a response.

It's not that I have no response, but;
A lion does not reply to a dog.

Faisaly 1 - Nejmeh 0

The quality of both teams are absolutely a great indication of how bad this tournament was. Faisaly's goal is a beauty though.

Tomorrow is the decider. Faisaly plays with an advantage of getting a draw and in the whole cup while Nejmeh only needs to win 2-0 to win it and 1-0 to tie the whole thing. Both teams sucked at the 1st leg lets see what happens at the second leg.

Vamos Argentina!

Well its a good chance for both teams to make some extra money and get some international experience. Good luck to both.

PS. Its interesting that all 4 finalists of AFC competitions are Arab teams. Are the Eastern Asian teams much weaker ? How about the Iraniain teams (do they compete) ?

Eastern Asian teams are not weak, actually there have been a while they dominated, but recently thanks to the gulf clubs, Arab teams kicked arse in Asia.

If im not mistaken i was watching the second leg today. I left at 2-2 but the level was pretty weak (like Pooh mentioned) so i stopped watching.
