Comoros isn't an Arab country, is it? They're certainly not members of the Arab league.

Actually they are more Arab than perhaps Somalia and Djibouti!

I think since each of these countries is made up of different ethnicities, and hence, they speak differnet languages/dialects, Arabic has become the national language. Most of these languages aren't even written.

In Saudi Arabia, we probably have more than 1 million East Africans (Ethiopians/Eritreans/Somali etc...) They all speak fluent Arabic, which they learnt back home.

I stand corrected. I always assumed they were like many other east African countries, in that they have some Arab heritage, but that it was no longer a strong influence.

Well, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, etc are Arab countries and African as well. One doesn't negate the other.

What exactly is Somalia doing in the Arab League?

I bet most Somali's don't even know that thier country is in the Arab league.

"I went to a football school 60 miles away from where I lived. I practised 12 hours a day, training both feet so thoroughly, that I no longer know which is better. At Sparta Prague, I would retake the field after a match and train until the floodlights were extinguished."
