Better chance to qualify for 2006 World Cup

Canada's chances of qualifying for Germany '06 have improved with the announcement by FIFA that CONCACAF will have 3 and a half spots in the finals, up from 3.

This means the fourth-place CONCACAF qualifier will have a chance to qualify by winning a playoff against the fifth-place Asian qualifier.

hopefully we would see Canada in the big stage

realistically we all know that the first two spots will go to Mexico & U.S.A and the third spot may be battle out between Costa rica, Jamaica or Honduras.......Canada though, should be one of those nations battling for the third spot..........However, if Canada fails to get a direct qualification...........they would still have the back door.........that is a two legs playoff games against a supposedly weak Fifth place Asian team...........hopefully not Korea, Japan or Iran

Je m'en fous.........

tu non vedrai nessuna cosa al mondo maggior FORZA INTERNAZIONALE!!!!

We Can Only Hope

Hey I really hope Canada finally capitalises in the qualifying stages, but realistically for Canada to qualify we are going to need more then 3 1/2 Spots for North America, but you never know. Canada won the Gold Cup in 2000 so we do have the skill to make it!

GO CANADA!

We need to produce more than just good goalies, yes there are players that do ok like Radzinski and de Rosario but they have to re-produce (and more) their club forms when playing for the NT for us to have any chance.....don't see us finishing in the top 3 so maybe we can beat an Asian team.

What about Craig Forrest, Paul Dolan, Pat Onstad, and Lars Hirschfeld?
