Canada - Haiti Voyageurs meeting in Toronto

Hey there, I just wanted to pass along to everyone that a big showing of Canadian Soccer Supporters will be meeting on Friday Evening at 8:30pm at:

Sports Centre Cafe
49 St Clair W, Toronto, ON M4V 1K6
Phone: (416)928-9525

For the Canada-Haiti match. Everyone is invited. There is no admission fee.

It's a good opportunity to meet some people (like me, lol) who are really into the game. We expect 20-30 people ... maybe more ...

See you at the match.

Jarrek

PS: Sportsnet won't be showing the Canada-Haiti game but FoxSportsWorldCanada will.

Thanks for the info, J.

So Sportsnet has crapped out on us again. (despite the fact that soccertv.com shows them as broadcasting the Haiti game live!) :fero:

Remember the Malta game, when Sportsnet said they had decided not to carry the game because they wanted to devote all their resources to the Gold Cup coverage instead? Hah! :rollani:

Now they are planning to show only one of the two games involving Canada in the Group round (Canada - Ecuador), when they may well be the only two games Canada gets to play in the whole tournament.

Like TSN, Sportsnet's commitment to soccer is a yard wide and a micron thin.

Yes ... it's very unfortunate

Well what can I say. Gerry Dobson said that the Sportsnet decision was a dissapointing one but they could not aquire the rights for the game. With the economy going the wrong way these days Canadian Soccer will even see less time on TV.

BTW ... good point on the Malta game.
