OT: Canadian Tire Biased?!?!?!?!?

Walked into a Canadian Tire. Saw that they were selling nice, mini-fibre poll flags in honor of Euro 2004...

but theres one glitch...

they only sell Italy's Flag
What gives?

I thought they might have a variety of flags...seeing that Canada has such a big Russian, Greek, Portuguese and English/Isle Community...i think they should have more options....... This isn't fair..

The Most Ironic part is that the Canadian Tire in which i went to...was in a densly populated area of Oriental people. 85% of the customers there were cantoneese and the bin of the Flags was more than full and hardly touch...

Nice variety Canadian Tire

I guess they just figure that everyone likes Italy... and every neighbourhood is bound to have a couple Italians. Italians are also very proud of their country and will buy the flags.

Just a thought of course.

There could be many reasons for this. Maybe all the other flags had sold out.

Or maybe Canadian Tire was approached by someone looking to unload a whole carload of surplus Italy flags at a cheap price.

Or maybe Canadian Tire knows bugger all about giving the public what they want. (I like this theory the best).

It's good thinking..........There are over 500 000 people of Italian descent in Southern Ontario. But on any street corner, you can find flags of Che Guevara to Latvia to USSR.

Conclusion....

All in all, instead of getting a real class flag, i ended up finding this Iraqi dude who had a mini fan filled with flags big or small. He was parked outside a Petro Canada station @ Bathurst/Sheppard.

I knew they were aftermarket/counterfit, but who cares....

Instead of getting it for 20.00 from Canadian Tire with one option, i ended up having 100 options, plus, bargaining it down with the nice lad, to 15 dollars!!!!

In conclusion,

this is what i bought....

St. George st.? Is that in Toronto?

I know of a st. George Subway station..

either way, In Canada they do come with the whole car mounting kit as well. Here they sell it for 10 bucks.

The thing with the car mounting kit is that, some people go fast, like i do...and they come with a hickory stick mount...and i guess some of them never bother to put glue on the bottom between the stick and the flag and what happens is the flag comes off and you would never hear it.....

Only when you come out of your car, you realize that your flag is missing.
Last World Cup i went threw 6 flags...

My best bet...
Get a Fibre Plastic one..
its the best!
