Football Italia

Cragno denies Calhanoglu!
Let the poor man get one goal!

Lovely give and go with Suso, powerful shot from 12 yards stings Cragno's gloves. Too central.

Borini can't even trap the ball. He must have blackmail on Gattuso.

Omg hahaha I was legit thinking the same thing...today was perhaps one of his best games I've seen of him.

Conti just has that xtra pace that makes him speciel. Too bad that Calabria is doing well and no space for him right now. Considering his long injury period it might be a good thing after all. Could he be played in Kessies position? Or even Suso's at times?

I actually thought it would be more suited to Hakan . Kessie even some football intelligence still lacks some basic skills

If you remove his athleticism and strength you get Borini.

What an impact our two new signings have had. Next up Ata away, they’re in good form and it’s been almost 4 years since we last beat them. I’ll take the draw there and then hope for 7-9 points against Empoli, Sassuolo and Chievo.

We need to beat Atalanta. Less one competition for 4th place.
A straight match up who deserve the spot.

Kessie is still a loanee from Atalanta

The 90 minutes were more consistent than usual Milan, to me it seemed that way any way.

Lazio choke in the end. All they had to do is get a tie to Inter at home and they were leading 2-1 for 75 minutes. Yet they blew it with 15 minutes left. And Inter got Champions League. They are well coached, but most of their players are way overrated. Atalanta on the other side is firing on all cylinders though I expect them to choke eventually. I agree on your Roma assessment.

But it will depend on our choking, the less we choke the better. Let's hope we don't see a repeat of losing to Fiorentina at home or only tying with teams like Frosinone or Pippo's Bologna.

-Everyone had a good game mostly

-Team has been in form lately but faced tough opponents. Moment we met a slightly weaker one we showed our quality

-Calabria's cross for Paqueta was delicious

-Hakan is in the form whereby just one goal will really change everything. He seems frustrated but I get the feeling the team are all trying to help him. I love his understanding with Paqueta

-Piatek seems world class. He looks absolutely fantastic. Forget the goals but his speed, strength, passing and ability to play with his back to goal is amazing. Really hope we have finally found the new Sheva

-Besides all that am pleased to have kept a clean sheet

Solid win.

We play way deeper than we should for many passages though, with the whole team behind the ball. It seems to work as we have another clean sheet, but a very average Cagliari forced a couple of very good saves from Donnarumma -- one of which we were very lucky not to concede at 2-0.

Calabria was MOM for me. Paquetá impressive even if he still overcomplicates things now and then. Great to see him and the Porn Tech score.

Suso dangerous but missed a sitter and lacked precision -- he's lost some of his form with the final pass or shot. That + Hakan's horrible finishing and overall lack of confidence (see the play before Paquetá's goal, you could almost hear him doubting) is a worrying sign for our attack.

Good to see Kessie getting some credit for his performance, although I think he has played similarly well in other games in recent weeks too.

I feel for Hakan but hats off to him for his commitment. He messed up a few attacking moves but also forced saves from the keeper. But most important of all were his vertical runs. They're a great counter balance to Suso's more horizontal style of play and they open up spaces for others.
