Our play improved before those two players were sorted out by other teams. Immediately after, we went back to being poor. And this is where a good coach is critical.

I did not see any improvement other than the individual impact these guys had, especially Piatek. Along with Piatek scoring at almost miraculous rates given how little we created, much more important than Paquetá was that Donnarumma hit top form and that ridiculous defensive blunders were kept to a minimum or went unpunished. Also a couple of players stepped up in very specific games.

Our play was just as bad as before other than that. You can count with one hand the games that we have dominated and created more clear chances than the opposition.

We were better in the good run of results of 2017-18, when Cutrone was our (less insanely effective) Piatek, than this season.

So, after we finally found a very good defensive midfielder for relatively cheap price of 35m we managed to screw up and will return him?! He will go and play for Juve and become a monster. Similar to Cancelo.

yes rules should be obeyed BUT dont just lose good players and millions when we dont have many good players left.

If u think u will give Conte or Sarri a team of Borini, Rodriguez, Samu, Hakan, Kessi, Cutrone and finish for sure top 4 ur dreaming.

Look at what Atalanta is doing. Having a system that works and manager who can motivate players really works.

And as mediocre as you want to call our players, I don't think our squad is inferior to the likes of Atalanta and Torino, who are competing with us for that 4th spot.

If you brought the Atalanta squad to Milan, even with a great coach, they would do as badly, or probably worse, than our own squad. You need to be a great player with the right mentality to succeed at Milan, which is why buying 11 20 M EUR type of players won’t work here.

To a certain point we are overrating the team. There's a high chance that this team would not make it out of a CL group stage. But as far as getting 4th place in Serie A? You're kidding me? WTF do Roma, Lazio, Atalanta or Torino have more than Milan? Nothing player wise. Even Inter with no striker for half a season managed 3rd place perfectly fine. And we were 3rd before the derby, but eventually Gattuso's incompetence was going to be figured out.

If only those Atalanta players could stay away from injuries.

Roma played a CL semi last year, yes they sold some but this is a team with far greater experience in CL of our lot, and yes they have a better squad...

Yes 7 years ago. You cannot say a team beating Barca 3-0 and competing in CL is inferior to a team that hasnt seen CL for ages...

They sold Salah(granted 2 years ago), Allison, Nainngolan who was a beast for them and Strootman. And added Nzonzi, Kluivert and Pastore. Meantime we resurrected Bakayoko and added 2 players that can start at most top teams as well.

And beating Barca 3-0 or 4-0 is becoming the norm lately. Oh btw we also beat Barcelona with Muntari and Boateng and with Constant, Mexes also Pazzini as starting forward and super sub Bakaye Traore. Back in those years Xavi, Iniesta and Messi were 6 years younger. And either way the following season we ended up 8th in Serie A.

We beat Barcelona in the home game, but lost the series after having our asses kicked in the return leg, not quite the same as what Roma or Liverpool have done...

Both Roma and Liverpool got their ass handed to them in the first leg. We kicked their ass too considering the shit team we had and the Barca that we faced was a little stronger than the current one.

Milan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is being linked with a shock move to city rivals Inter.

According to Sport Mediaset, ‘what seemed like a mere suggestion a few hours ago is turning into a real cause for negotiation.’

The website explains Inter general manager Beppe Marotta has an ‘excellent’ relationship with Bakayoko’s Italian representative Federico Pastorello.

Milan have a €35m option to buy the Frenchman this summer, but they would have ‘no intention’ of exercising it on economic and disciplinary grounds.

Therefore, another loan worth €5-6m could be negotiated with an option to buy set at €30-32m as the Chelsea loanee is ‘very happy’ in Milan.

That wasnt hard to predict

No point talking about stuff years ago, this Milan got eliminated by Olmpiyakos in the Europa league, so no we are not at the level of Roma, lets move on....

Is he really “very happy” with Gattuso? Plus no way he goes to be managed by Conte again...

Because of an incompetent manager. That's the whole point here. The players are not world beaters, but you're making it sound like Roma is at the Juve level and Milan is at the Bologna level. When on paper they are at the same level.
