I became a Milan fan because of the 3 Duchie
I feel old.

By looking at all the posts, I can gauge everyone age group.

Top 5 for me:

1) Sheva
2) Maldini
3) Kaka
4) Nesta
5) Pippo

I was too young to love the earlier generations as much as I love these guys.

Matri was shit for us but IMO is a decent player for midtable teams. He's scored decent amounts of goals everywhere.

There's a generation of "promising" Italian players who amounted to nada. Comandini perhaps is the most notable for us -- not even a proper Serie A player, though he forever became a Milan icon in that tennis match. But also Saudati, Donati, Zenoni (did he ever play a game?), Dalla Bonna, De Ascentis (who was a bit better)...

Talking about old chaps, I remember the first Milan game I watched on TV - the CL final against Marseille. I very young then but I still remember vividly.

And I saw live in the stadium the first ever Sacchi/Silvio / Dutch Milan Euro Cup game ... 0-2 against Levski (then called Vitosha) Sofia; Virdis and Gullit. September 1988. The rest is history.

yeah but he had a Serie A career, often as a starter. Comandini essentially was never a Serie A player, before or after Milan. Just that one day against Inter...

Yeah, talk about being in the right place at the right time. In 50 years they’ll look at old youtube videos of the tennis match and nobody will remember what an insignificant player he was

Stroke of genius by Cesare to start him that day We had players like Boban and Leonardo on the bench.

This thread seems pointless. Gattuso has made you CL qualification contenders. To sack him would be crazy.

I suggest you revisit this space again in, let's see, 8-9 months post next year's CL group phase. Probably with Pep, Conte & Mourinho all joining the league, or any of them really, none of them will be on the Milan bench. Shall be a fun season!

No expectations..No disappointments

Oh, and I forgot my compatriot, Aliyu Mohammed. I was full of pride when he made his first team league debut, coming in for Leonardo. Can't remember against which opponent it was. He had so much promise then.
