Don't know if we watched the same game, Abate was just runing around and not entering into challanges ...like a sunday amateur game just that he was worst. Like just didnt bother. He wasnt there when they scored and when Mussachio was covering him and got schooled by Destro.

Don't know where did you get those 7 8 interceptions...from twitter TheMilanBible they have these stats:
#MilanBologna:

Most shots: Kessie (6)

Most chances created: Kalinic (5)

Most dribbles: Suso (5)

Most tackles: Montolivo (3)

Most interceptions: Bonucci & Borini (2)

Most clearances: Bonucci (5)

Most blocked shots: Montolivo (2)

Most aerial duels won: Bonucci & Kessie (4)

Abate's defending has been criminal for some time. Wasn't he supposed to be the one marking that Benevento goalkeeper when he scored. He was just standing like a zombie, looking on. In most matches when we lose possession he jogs back.

Anyway, not bad. Instead of Borini in attack; i suggest Cutrone /Silva to start. Or moving Jack in attack & inclusion of Bigila might help.

A much awaited win; a slight improvement in terms of performance.

Calabria looked super nervous when receiving the ball, too risky and too early for his sake...

On the one hand everything could change by February and it is a very good draw.

On the other hand I fully expect us to **** it up.

Quite saying that our 3 best players (Donna, Bona and Suso), not exactly world beaters, were already around before we splashed out 200+ m during the summer

By Watching the game. They count these after intercepting passed unchallenged. The ones i talk about is when he stepped in front of his player and took the ball before he got them. He did several like that early in the game when we put themunder pressure and musa/bonu didnt even need to make any challenges. Another one just before he went off.

Best in a while. Still shaky at the back, but we had some good attacks and plays.

Disagree about anyone saying we should movie up bonaventura when he just had his best game in this position. Dont change what works!

Yes, keep Bona in midfield, sign a new LW in January if Borini is not good enough (he's not). It's not like we have any superior midfielders to put in his spot.

Bona-Monto/Biglia-Kessie is actually a pretty balanced midfield trio.

not even close to be "my team" but i was hoping and predicting that we will drew Ludogorets. They are the Bulgarian Hoffenheim + Red Bull Leipzig but even better - bought by a local oligarch, no-name team from a small town till then, made the jump from third to first division in 2 seasons and then won the next 4 or 5 titles (PS: just checked - they won the last SIX titles immediately after the promotion form second division) in a row. Also good record in LE for a small team.
