Their counter was started from a foul by Atalanta not given. Ref has been too lenient on them.

Ah good movement by Bacca. Good play.

10/10 on boring and poor scale all 22 players and including ref.

We deserved all three points. Good second half performance. Atalanta pulled out all the dirty tricks against us and were lucky in the end.

We created enough the second half to win the game, just lacked a bit of luck. Kucka should have squared the ball instead of going for goal..
Don't think the second half was boring...Maybe only Bertolacci, don't really think he contributes with much at all.

It was great while it lasted, bye bye 3rd place!

We're hardly imaginative in front of goal. We used to be collectively a lot better than that on the tactical side.

And it didn't throughout the game either. Which begs the question as to why Locatelli sat this one out?! Thanks Montella...

No expectations..No disappointments

A yellow card means Locatelli will miss the final against Juve. So Montella didn't want to risk him. As if Locatelli can beat all by himself.

Now, left to me, this game is more important than the Super Coppa final. It's the gateway to Europe. What do we get by winning the Coppa final? These two points we lost might come to bite us in the @ss at the end of the season.

And this is the worst referee I've seen so far this season.

Goodbye top 3 ,

Nice while it lasted indeed!

Hello 5th place ,

We hope to be able to form a long-term relationship with you. We want to get back to the European arenas of Dundalk, Qabala, Zorya, or perhaps even one of my local teams, Lyngby!

Agree with Inas, this game was more important than the Supercoppa whatever final.
Locatelli should have played.

You shouldn't ever have become acquainted with top 3. It was only ever going to lead you along and break your heart

This was and still is a Europa League level team. We were just briefly punching above our weight

What do you do when your opponent packed almost 8 players in the box, defending?? You freaking put in more forwards to stretch their defences. Not taking out one of our creative players and sub one forward for another forward whilst keeping 3 central midfielders for the full 90 mins who virtually did almost to nothing!

I blame the draw on Montella. He should hav sub Bacca much earlier for either Pasalic or Bertolacci. Both were terrible and they ought to be sub out. Play Lapadula with Bacca with Suso and Bona creating chances for them should give some headaches for Atalanta defences. Instead for pretty much of the game, Lapadula was left alone in the penalty box, vying the ball with 8 other Atalanta defenders. Not surprise that he did not get a decent chance at goal.

The fact that Pasalic and Bertolacci lasted the entire game went beyond me. To me, these 2 were the worst players out there last night. Seriously, time to say yr farewell, Bertolacci... You hav never performed up to yr expectation and you hav never justifield your price tag. Pasalic was invisible throughout the whole game that it took me a while to realised that he played for us last night.

Now that we have failed to close down on Roma and Juve... We need to maintain that level of competitiveness to charge towards the CL berth. We need to fight on and Montella needs to up his game. We seriously need a good forward to bang in the goals for us.
