Don't know. But when it comes to Milano I heard this mentioned several times.

hilarious, i found that. Output is based on millions factors, which you have no control upon. One CEO's output could be 10 million (i.e. the final sum of teh deal he signed) while one lawyer in the same deal )out of 500 lawyers and 1000s others working on it) could be the 10 hours he spent on the Memo, so lets say, 10 x 1000 USD = 10 000. However, that doesnt mean much. Both of them spent their best in the 10 or so hours they worked on it. And the deal depended on 1000s of people. Most importantly in depended on millions of other factors which determined why the CEO is on that position and the lawyer is another.

In Bulgarian we have a saying that you cannot make a whistle out of any tree/piece of wood. Horrible saying. What I say is that form one piece you can make a whistle, from another a chair, from a third one a plate and from a fourth one a stick for the kids to play with; and yet a 5th one you will use in the fire to get warm. And all of them are ONE; i.e. all of them are equally important, even the one branch no one ever used to do anything from. The fact that the branch is there sitting, standing, dying is just about enough to make it as important as any other piece of wood.

Well agreeing to pay very high wages is the trade off Milan have made to get major stars for relatively cheap. That's why when people were celebrating getting Ibra and Robinho for the sums that they did, i wondered if they factored the long term financial burden of their high salaries. Even Ronaldinho who was bought for 'only' 20m, earns a massive 7.5m...that's a staggering amount for him.

As for the stadium issue, this is really something which is holding back Italian teams, and i'm really surprised there hasn't been a more collective approach by clubs forcing the hand of reluctant municipalities, that want to profit from renting existing stadiums.

I guarantee you there's not a club president in the entire league that doesn't dream of a new stadium.

Interesting read. I really don't see us investing in a new stadium any time soon, though.

That's not it. Our wage problem is more squad players of dubious quality having wages higher than the biggest stars in Napoli and Fiorentina. Players like Jankulovski and Oddo who isn't good enough would be the best paid in most other serie A clubs. Workmanlike players like Gattuso, Ambrosini and Flamini got star wages.

Yeah, I guess the only star that really deserve his wage right now is Zlatan. I don't mention Pato, because he is actually almost underpaid considering his contribution.

Next season, without Jankulovski and Ronaldinho we will already be much better off in wages. Now if we only could get rid of Oddo too. Inzaghi? another one on high wages that only comes in with the occasional goal, but got huge wages.

Jankulovski for sure. We will see about Dinho. Oddo basically 1/2 his wages to stay an extra year, so cash flow wise that is less of a problem now. Inzaghi would save some money too. I would imagine that Pato will get a raise though.

Zlatan 9m - Hell of a lot, but ok with these performances.
Ronaldinho 7,5m - WAAAAY too much.
Pirlo 6m - Too much. 4m at max.
Flamini 4,5m - Too much for a rotation player
Nesta - 4,5m - Ok. Leaving?
Robinho 4m - Too early to tell.
Seedorf 4m - His wages should be paid depending on his performance
Gattuso 3,5m - He is playing great this season, but still a little too much?
Zambrotta 3,5m - Should be more like 1,5m
Ambro 3m - Captain... meh.
Jankulovski 2,8m - Do I really need to comment?
Pato 2,5m - Underpaid.
Thiago Silva 2,5m - Should be same as Nesta's
Abbiati 2m - Ok
Bonera 2m - Too much for a rotation player
Inzaghi 2m - I'm fine with this, but I guess most aren't
Oddo 1,3m - ... (2 assists! )
Abate 1m - Good performances so far. 1,5m next contract?
Amelia 1m - Ok I guess
Antonini 1m - Same as Abate
Boateng 1m - Cheap
Onyewu 1m - Shouldn't be in the team anyway
Papa 1m - ok?
Yepes 1m - ok?
Roma 0,4m - Not important.

What exactly prevents a team of Milan's stature from getting its own stadium these days, I wonder? Granted you'll need a larger one than Juventus, but even ours seems to be nearly 80% funded by selling the naming rights through Sportfive (80m over some amount of years taken from the total cost of "only" 105m euros for the stadium). Even allowing for a facility costing twice as much, shouldn't there be corporations queuing up to slap their name upon it? I must be missing something glaringly obvious here...

adriano_c, I already mentioned the main reason.

Toscani, not that the "1 million wage" that out least player has is what the best paid players in several other serie A teams got.

So you think it's an issue mainly that local councils won't give permission for the land rights and development? How much exactly are they earning in rent from the San Siro currently, I wonder?

Yeah, I noticed. I'm not saying players should earn those ridiculous amounts of money. Just looked wages from team Milan's perspective
