Also Barcas goal came out of a miss clearence, that can be avoided.

hat was Dutch carma through and through ... Hiddink simply outplayed that young green Pep dude, Barca were totally lost. And then that and no final again. As an orrange football fan I have seen those things way too many times.

lets hope barca wins the final now ... the other team should not be the 1st one to retain the big cup

i dont think so ... this was against 10-man barca, after 2 or 3 clear penalties, 93 min, the first shot on goal for the whole game ... only the 99 final comes closer imo

Yea, on account of yesterdays game Chelsea should have been in the finals. Any chance we can get Hiddink to Milan for the 10/11 season?

I have been reading a lot of crap news lately about the hype that man utd will be the first team to retain the cup if they win the final. The write/editor/journalist must be too young to know about the invincible sacchi's Milan

Hiddnik did lay an incridible plan to disrubte Barca way of play. This Barca is still naive, and could learn a thing or two about definsive minded teams. They have approached the game just like they did against Real! It was furstrating to see 65%+ posession footbal with 0 productivity until the last minute Hiddnik was superior by tactics, Gurdioula was superior by nature.

And this has nothing to do with Dutch carma whatsoever. I am even surprised you mention that after the way Chel$ka approached the game in the 2 legs. The dutch lose because they attack until minute 90. Chel$ka played like an away team in both legs

Regarding the UCL retain thing, it does count, since the change was to the format, not the competition. As a biased American commentator (This one is for Dae ) continued to mention during the Man UTD game that Man UTD could be the first team to retain the UCL since Milan in 89, 90

When I add another digit to the number of days inert spent without winning the UCL, does that mean that I believe they won't ever won it?

yes even Alex ferguson did mentioned it before that they wanted to emulate what Milan has done in 89,90. He have so much respect for Milan
