Er...
Tough call.
I would say love is the feeling of comfort and understanding that you share with any another person, not just your "lover".
Nope. I havent written a love letter yet.
And I have no idea what "coup de foudre" means !

Definition of the word love . It probably depends on my mood and inspiration, but for now I'd say I'm in love with someone the moment I fantasyse about having conversations with her about stuff, when she's not around to actually have that conversation.
Writtibng loveletters, yes I have
Un coup de foudre (a sudden crush) of course it happens, but I don't believe in it as the base for a good relationship

Can't remember what was in it precisely, more like some sweet nothings. It didn't miss it's effect though

Lili, can I have that phrase? It is classic! I can think of a couple of guys I'd like to ask it of...
"LOVE": Is difficult. Its difficult to have, diffcult to keep and difficult to make (and I don't mean that as a stupid double-entendre...its just very hard). But in all its difficulty, it is so definately worth all the trouble. Like they say, its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
"Love Letter": Done them a couple of times, becuase I write much better than I speak (I stutter, especially in the presence of people I like). Have had mixed results. Some people are just too stupid to get it when you are making an important point...or maybe I am not direct enough.
"Un coup de foudre": The French have the best terms for things! A few times, and they always were a bad idea in the end. Once I was at a party and getting ice out of the ice bucket in the kitchen (yep, I am a wild thing! ), when a boy came in to get some ice for his drink. He said, "hello", and I just got the sudden thunderbolt flash that "this is the love of my life". One thing led to another and it was suddenly 4 in the morning (where did all that time go, I have no idea), as we'd been talking since 10 pm, and he didn't leave (figuratively) for like seven years. So that was the only good one--and since we broke up in great recrimination a couple of years ago, it was bad in the end.
RIO
You know the scene it's very hum-drum
And my favorite song's entitled "Boredom"...

rio,
for the "coup de foudre" i think it's exactly what you explained
except that normally, this form of love doesn't survive more than 2 years normally, so, i think you had a big chance to make it live more than that
damn! i would like talk about love, but can't find out the good english words. in short, i think love is like a plant, you have to take care of it, if you don't give it what it needs and let the time make his depressing work, it will die

hehe
geert, i think it's cool a guy who write to his gf, cause sometimes like said rio, things are more easy to write when you are alone and think about your love. i know that the women always bother their man to ask every time sweet things.

But writing can also become a trick. I mean certainly in Dutch I know how to write such things definitely when I have a bit of time.
