Dries "The Belgian Messi" Mertens
Joined in the summer from Utrecht together with Strootman for 13m. Already looking like both were a bargain.
Started the season in scintillating form but has died down during the coarse of it. Struggling a bit to add another dimension in his game but has improved on it for sure.
Our top scorer with 18 Eredivisie goals with 3 games remaining. 24 in all competitions.
His mazy dribbles have been a joy to watch this season but there is news that both Bayern Munich and Liverpool are interested in him. Nonetheless i think he will stay for at least another year but only time will tell. |

Will we be able to keep him next season is the question though?
I remember Bayern beein pretty interested in him and right now they have this situation with Robben, who apperently wants to leave after the Ribery incident.

I think so.
I heard that Robben and Ribery made up and that Arjen is going to sign a new contract.
Plus BM have already signed my 2nd favourite Albanian player of all time.
